snow boot sizing

DS is 2 1/2, and growing out of size 6 boots now.  I want to get him a new pair to finish this season and hopefully wear next year.  I know every kid is different and grows at different rates, but if anyone has a thought on whether I should get a 7 or 8, I'd appreciate your input.  Thanks!

Re: snow boot sizing

  • I would go with the 8 though I still don't know if it will last you till next season.  DD is a size 8, but we got a pair of hand-me-downs that were a size 9.  They work well for DD, so I don't think the extra room is a problem the way it would be in regular shoes.

  • My daughter hasn't worn hers once this season and since it's March 1 already, I guess I'll be saving these for #2, lol

  • DD2 wore a size 6 boot last year at 18 months and is in a size 9 this year at 2 1/2 years. She probably would have been fine with an 8 or 8.5, but we had her older sister's size 9 boots.

  • LO was in a size 6 last year at 17 months, and this year is in a size 9.

  • I'd get 8s, so he could grow into them.
