Do you know why? Because you'll like it. Snuggling up to a sweet, sleeping babe, you'll kiss the top of their head and become intoxicated by that amazing baby smell. Then you need to do it again at naptime and then again at bedtime. Then you're doing it like three and four times a day. BAM! You're addicted. The next thing you know, you're a "creepy mom" on the cover of Time Magazine because you still bedshare and your kid is about to start high school. It's a lose-lose situation.
Re: Bedsharing is bad.
He crib sleeps at daycare so I think it will be part bedsharing and part crib sleeping. If I put him in the crib and he screams, I'll probably try 1 to 2 more times then bring him in with me. I love sleep too much lol.
We've been roomsharing from the start (bc he had jaundice and I used to get up ten times a night - or more - to check on him before we got the Snuza). There was a week and a half period there where he slept on my chest in the bed, bc his PnP was by the window, and my DH needed to put that plastic over the window, bc for some reason our heat wasn't working in the bedroom very well . . .
He did sleep five nights in his crib, before getting sick, and now I plan on having DH convert the crib to a sidecar crib for the bed, until DS is six months (roomsharing for the first six months is recommended by the AAP ~ like I needed an excuse ;D)
Definitely addicting!
