Swollen and painful leg

I've had some swelling on and off through the third tri, but the last twenty for hours it has be going on with pain in my left calf. Has anyone else had something similar?

my calves (and ankles) have been swollen since 30 weeks. they HUUUUURT. ive worn compression socks some but when i take them off, the ring they leave around the top of my calf hurts like crazy. : (

Okay, I'm not trying to scare you. But swelling and pain in only one leg could indicate a blood clot. Does your left leg feel warmer than your right?

My advice would be to stay off that leg and call your doc asap to get it checked out.

I just read this somewhere and it freaked me out a little so I called the dr. It's not hot (so hopefully that is good), but they want me to come in just in case to get it looked at.

Yes I have, my doctor could tell as soon as he saw my ankles that salt is my latest craving so all I can tell you is to watch your salt intake.

Good news, all is well! They dr. thought that it didn't show other typical symptoms of a blood clot, but sent me over to the hospital to have an ultrasound done on my leg just to be safe. It came back all clear so they told me just to take it easy tonight with my feet up. Done and done!
