This is only my second cycle temping, so I hope this isn't a stupid post.

Last cycle, the day after my temp drop I got my period. This cycle, I had my temp drop yesterday, but it didn't go below the coverline.

Does your temperature drop have to go below the coverline before you can expect AF, or does it not matter? Do I just have to see a noticeable change?

Personally, my temps are usually well above CL until CD3-4, it's a gradual drop but AF always arrives before it goes below.

No, it doesn't matter. Usually mine drops to near the CL a day or day before AF but sometimes it doesn't drop at all.

I got excited and tested at 9DPO -- obviously way too early, but I couldn't help it! If AF doesn't show up today, I might try again tomorrow.

Thank you ladies, for your input. I know it's different for everyone, but it's good to hear other peoples experiences.

I want to add that it is different for me almost every cycle. My temp will usually start dropping at 11dpo and gradually drop. Some cycles it will dip below CL before AF. Others, my temp will stay high until AF is done.

I usually have a gradual declind of temps in the 3-4 days leading up to AF. They always stay above the coverline but you can clearly tell that they are falling.
