Picture placement help please! pips!

I finally convinced DH to get picture frames and print pictures out to hang up in our living room.. now I just can't figure out exactly where I want to hang them.

I have a pretty long living room. I have the couch sticking out to kind of divide it into a living area and playroom. Here are some pictures to help explain.

And here are the frames and the layout I want to do. (Picture of the box)

The frames would completely fill up half the wall. So my question is where would you place them? In just the living area part of the wall and get something later to go up on the play side? OR should I center them on the whole wall and maybe get like a set a matching mirrors to go on either side so it connects the play area and living area so to speak?

  • I would just do them in the living area because things in playrooms tend to get broken. All my pics are up super high because i have very tall celings!

  • I would put them just in the living room area. I think if you center on the whole wall, it will look off. Just putting them in the living room area will also help to further separate the two spaces.

I agree. You need to fully commit to dividing the spaces or the furniture placement will look off. Might I suggest some tall book shelves for the playroom area? Since they really are technically one room,Β  I think a tall piece of furniture like that will help create the illusion of two spaces.

  • I would do just the living room part because of the toy against the wall in the play area.
