Can we have a WTF Wednesday?

OK...I'm just going to go ahead and say it...I don't "get" all the Downton Abbey love...

Oh and those things you stick in trees to make them look like a face? WTH?

Anybody else got something they don't "get"?

  • WTF has gotten into me today that I have been so active.  I ran 4 miles, picked up the LR, did the dishes, swept the floor, went through Tay's shirts, oh and ran to DQ while the big girls were at church.

I especially hate it when people add their pets... Since we have the 2 guys that live with us, ours would be (if we had them which we will never)

H, Hav, Hadley, Uncle, Uncle, Dog, Cat, Cat, Chicken, Chicken, Chicken, Chicken, Chicken....

I can't help but think it'd be hilarious.

    This would be amazing!  :)

People who buckle their seatbelts behind them to make the car "seat belt alarm" stop beeping. If you're going through the hassle of buckling it behind you, why not just put it on?

For Christmas, DH gave me a set of those, only they're super heroes. You can do Wolverine, Spider Man, Iron Man, or Captain America, and each one has a dad, mom, boy, girl, dog and cat. I haven't put them on yet, but I admit I'm tempted. Mostly because the boys would be over the moon about it.

That's an awful lot of WTFs.

Is it WTF Wednesday, or is it WTF Wednesday? (Oops, forgot my excessive use of question marks.) ????????????????????????????????????????

Right? It is NOT fun to drive by them and notice one...I almost drove off the road yesterday. LOL

LOL I don't LOVE the Bachelor...I watch it to make fun of people. There is a big difference. I don't actually think the people are going to stay together, you know that right.

In fact, during the giving of the Fantasy Suite card the other night, I read my own words out load to entertain DH and myself. They went a little like this...

You can forgo your individual rooms to stay together in the Fantasy suite and dry hump to prove your love for each other. You only have to suck on it for a little bit to show him you care.

Have you ever wondered if you'd be on anyone's window should you die? lol... morbid thought of the night.

I'm pretty sure I'm not loved enough to make it into a sticker. ;o)

I hope my family and friends love me enough to NOT memorialize me with a sticker...

I wonder if because the kids would love it is why most parents put the decals on their cars.  Ya know?  The kids see them on other cars and ask their mom, "why don't we have those?"  Then the mom feels all guilty...  It's a vicious cycle of stickers...  :)

Sometimes I wish I would see one of those combined with the family stickers. So if someone can find me two little boy stickers where they're peeing on the mom I would probably put that on my car.

This WTF just in b/c my Mom is texting me pictures of a wedding invite she just got. The wedding is June 15 - so first off 3.5 months + early is too much. Then they want you to RSVP by April 15. WTF. That is insane. Isn't that against everything Emily Post stands for? Is this what the knot teaches people these days?

Along these lines, why do my MIL's siblings and their progeny (and their progeny's progeny) keep sending me baby shower invitations when A) I have never met the honoree and B) The shower is being held out of state. My clueless DH says "Oh, it's because they want you to feel included." I say, "No, it's because you're a doctor and they only have a few potential candidates for that stroller system."

But seriously...who are these people who could never be bothered to send so much as a card when we got married and had our own children, but are suddenly all concerned about me feeling "excluded" when it comes time for a baby shower that's being held 1000 miles away?

I usually send a card expressing my regrets that I can't attend and congratulating them on the upcoming birth of their little darling and leave it at that. A couple times, DH insisted on sending a gift so I'd go online and get the wipe-warmer.

It definitely sounds like they just want gifts! I can't imagine inviting someone I've never met to my shower.

Don't read too much into it. I took the kids on a walk around the neighborhood on Saturday. Lydia walked and the babies were in the stroller. When we got home, I saw Anna only had one shoe on. The shoes used to be Lydia's and the babies have almost outgrown them so I didn't bother trying to find it. Sometimes kiddos loose shoes and it's no big deal.

I always wondered this.  Then one day I was driving behind a pick up truck and a shoe flew out of the back so now I assume that's how they all get there.

It seems like a lot of people but work boots and shoes in the bed of trucks...I guess that's how it happens.

Well, most people down there must not have been at the game. Their fans are worse than y'all. Much meaner and rude to children, women, older folks...it was horrible.

There are a lot of Auburn people in Mobile, actually. Most of my graduating class went there, and I went too because most of my friends did. I studied Social Work.
