Static on baby monitor?

I have the FP lights and sound monitors and there is a constant static noise.  I have tried unplugging our cordless phone and changing the channel on the monitor but nothing has worked.  Any ideas on how to make it stop?

    are you placing the monitor near another electronic device?

    we had constant problems with ours and then my H realized it was sitting right next to my cell phone and charger at night.

    we moved it and have had no other problems since that point.

    Do you have the sound turned all the way on?  I was always so worried about hearing DS, that I cranked it all the way up.  A lot of the static goes away just by turning it down.
