This article made me laugh, but was also reassuring that my son is not in fact a budding sociopath just because he is prone to assaulting me when angry... oh, toddlers.
My daughter is a stark raving lunatic but so is every other toddler that I know. I knew that there had to be some kind of scientific research to back this up. I don't believe in those kids of coincidences.

I always breathe a small sigh of relief every time I read something like this especially since just a few days I cried because I was convinced my 3-yr-old DS will turn into a serial killer one day because he has taken to hitting me one minute and then the next is the sweetest little love bug. Two years was easy peasy for us, but three years is completely LOCO.

Yes. They call it the terrible two's, but really, the terrible doesn't get going til after they turn 3! My daughter was horrid, and FI's DD is getting there herself...

Both of you are making me feel better. My son started 'baby' tantrums at a little over one. Things started escalating when he was about two and a quarter and he is just three now and still going strong. He is unpredictable; sometimes he's a perfect angel other times its like he's been possessed. He is capable of following directions/rules but at other times he is completely noncompliant. And even though he is getting better at labeling his emotions he is also likely to lash out physically. I am ready to see a light at the end of this tunnel but I'm afraid of what's to come with a new baby in the mix.
Re: Truth about toddlers...
Thank god, even though it has gotten better since she turned 3, it can still be rough. Like every morning when I have to drag her out of bed.
