is finally startng to really get down about not getting a BFP...i know it hast been a lifetime since we have started trying..but its starting to get emotional. how long have all of you been trying?
This is only my first cycle trying for #2 but my first time around it took 13 months with one pregnancy, a miscarriage, and a three month wait period before I could try again after the miscarriage. It took me 5 cycles to get pregnant each time (m/c and then DD's pregnancy).
bfp 1 - m/c 1.31.11 @ 10 weeks
bfp 2 - baby born via c-section on 5.4.12 @ 37 weeks
bfp 3 - blighted ovum/d&c on 4.13.13 @ 8 weeks
bfp 4 - 3rd IUI, very late BFN with super low P, c/p
bfp 5 - natural bfp while on lupron, baby born via RCS on 4.27.15 @ 39 weeks
bfp 6 - surprise! baby born via RCS on 11.13.16 @ 38 weeks
Although most people will get pregnant in their first year trying. Hobbies (I took up blogging, photography, and reading more) are a great way to get your mind off it.
If you haven't yet, read the newbie link (top of the board "new here: read this") - it's full of great info!
going on month 7.just found out i was totally timing everything wrong for the first 5 cycles, felt really hopeful with cycle 6 and then got my period 1 week after O. I think ill try more this time around, but if the AF comes that soon after O again i think ill go to the doctors (because i heard/read that wasnt normal/good). i know its not near as long as a lot of you,but emotions are just starting to get toyed with and i am kind of on a time limit (as i have a destinatio wedding the begining of next year)
It's starting to get to me also and I'm only on my 5th cycle. I didn't drink with MH last week and he asked me if I was pregnant. He has never asked me that in my life and I felt so sad to tell him no I'm not pregnant.
I feel it's ok to be sad as long as you snap out of it.

Don't borrow trouble. I wouldn't go to the doctor until you have been actively trying (eg- charting and temping) for a year unless you are over 35 or have underlying medical issues. It's a waste of time and money.
unfair how long it takes..everyday i see people with a million kids and more on the way...or people who cant afford their kids,or dont take care of them and i constantly think "those people have kids, and i dont"..i know i shouldnt judge, its just easier said than done

You don't know what they went through or didn't go through to get their children so really you shouldn't judge. Is it hard? totally. Just because I have DD doesn't make it any less dissapointing to see BFN's.

You seriously need to get a hobby and look at things in perspective. I would never be jealous of a teen mom or someone who got pregnant without being able to afford it. I love my LO but if I hadn't of wanted him with every fiber of my being, I couldn't imagine doing this. Being a mom is hard work (obviously very rewarding) and I wouldn't wish motherhood on someone who wasn't ready for it. You don't know people's situations. Yes, everyone judges now and then... but keep in mind it can take a healthy couple a year to conceive with good timing.
Just starting 3rd cycle of actively TTC, but we were NTNP for two and a half years hoping that nature would just run its course. Once I started lurking on TB, I found out why we weren't successful previously. We were not hitting my FW. The wealth of information on these boards along with the ladies here have helped so much.

Omg! Then you totes need to see a doctor since a wedding is soooo much more important than being patient.
Are you charting your bbt? Because if not then you can't accurately pinpoint your O day.
I'm on mobile and can't see a chart link.
I suggest taking a breather for a minute and suck up your whining. Yes you have the right to be disappointed, but you're no where near the point of seeking IF help. If you didn't know your O dates in the first six months then you may have just had a wonky cycle last month.

My thoughts exactly.
OP, I'm in a wedding early next year too. Sure, it crosses my mind that the timing of everything may not end up to be the best, but am I letting that affect my ability to be patient and keep TTC? No. And I'm certainly not running off to my doctor to complain about it, either. I will wait a year like most of the other posters on this board. It can take up to a year for a healthy couple to get pregnant. Relax a little, and find a hobby.
I really thought this post was going to be about sex...how long have you...had sex at one time? Guess my mind is in the gutter or maybe because I can't have sex for a month haha
Currently in cycle two with a positive opk yesterday and today. One can only hope this is where our ttc ends, but I'd rather the ladies that have been vets at this get their bfp first.
