I just made some homemade deodorant using baking soda, corn starch and coconut oil (all organic and aluminum free of course). It was supposed to be like a paste but ended up more of a liquid. I put it in the fridge to harden up the oil a little. I will let you know how it turns out
Re: Homemade deodorant!
I use it with just baking soda and coconut oil (just because I didn't have cornstarch when I made it)
It works great. The only thing to remember is that there is a short detox period where you may have to wash your underarms and re-apply a couple of times a day (like maybe a week or so). I think it works even better than regular deodorant after that!

Maybe I am just too sweaty for it to work. I would like to try something natural again, I started using DH's man deordorant.
I didn't feel stinky with the above recipe, although the baking soda did burn a bit.
If I need anxious or nervous or frustrated I sweat, not just working out or something more predictible.
At first I had the same insecurity, I felt sweat and immediately I would assume I smelled, to my surprised even when I haven't applied in a while I realize now I just don't stink. Part of it is because, once the detox period is over, your natural BO is just not that bad if you don't have many toxins in your body from things like an unhealthy diet or toxins applied to the body.
The reason coconut oil works, even by itself, is because it has antibacterial properties and bacteria is one of the causes for smelly pits.
