Make me feel like a bad mom! I didn't do a theme, we didn't do a picture collage, we didn't even have cutesy decorations. We had a cake and a few balloons. Nobody show my daughter all of your cute party pictures so she doesn't hate me later in life! I wish I was crafty and creative enough to have done something like that!

    Addy's party is this Saturday. I have done NOTHING other than pick a "theme" solely based on cost- there's some cute butterfly birthday party things at Dollar Tree and that's what we're going with. As of now I plan to use decor solely from there, including balloons. Food will be a meat/cheese/crackers tray plus cupcakes that I make, plus anything else I decide to pull out of the pantry (Chex mix, sodas, etc). Her party will be small though, less than 20 people including kids (it's close friends only, no family as they are not local). I really wanted to keep it crazy low key or else I will get too stressed out to enjoy it for what it is and I will be focused on the wrong thing, so I know this is right for us. I would love to be the kind of person who can do an elaborately themed party without freaking the crap out from the stress of it but that is just not me. I know that I have the ability to do that kind of party (almost all DIY at least) but it's just not worth it to me because me stressing about it takes all the fun out of it. I am quite enjoying looking at others' cute party pics though, and I am ever so slightly jealous.

    Caroline's didn't have a theme.  I did a few decorations, I didn't have a photo banner or anything like that.  I made her smash cake, spinach dip, and queso, everything else was store bought.  I didn't plan anything for entertainment, and we had about 40 people.  She had a lot of fun and that was the most important thing to me.

    We used the butterfly theme from the dollar tree, too. My SIL's mom volunteered to decorate since she's gifted in that area. If she hadn't it would have looked much more scaled down. We also only had chips, dip, a giant burrito cut up, salad and cupcakes. Nothing huge and I made the cupcakes. Don't feel bad! I just picked one or two Pinterest crafts to use and that was it.

    I only did a theme because I knew it wouldn't be too hard.  I picked frogs because that's what my shower was and what his room is...so I stuck with that for his 1st birthday.  Had it not been for my mom, the decorations wouldn't have been as good as they were.  Speaking of decorations...I got NO pictures of the decorations.  Yeah, I'm a little sad about that.  The day turned a little hectic, trying to play hostess and tend to my kiddo, so my camera didn't get used but for a few pictures.  Oh well!
