Sort of. Bachelor's and Master's are in Environmental, Population and Organismic bio - my thesis was on behavioral ecology of birds. I work now in molecular microbio research. Same general field, different focus. Then there was that year spent in law school before I decided I'd rather be dead than a lawyer, but let's not go there.
Vaguely. I have a teaching credential but there are no teaching jobs (not exaggerating) in my county so I have settled in as a substitute for regular and special needs classrooms. I might get a credential in special ed. I like the special needs kiddos much more than regular ed kiddos.
Nope, I have a general music degree and have been working retail and plan on being a SAHM, maybe substitute teaching a day or two a week (and that would relate to my degree whenever I end up subbing for a music class)
Not yet!!! I graduated with a degree in Elem. Ed. The job market here is VERY VERY competitive for teaching. Just one postion for this past school year hiring had over 200 people apply...GRR!
Nope. Well, I don't have a job either though. I've been looking for a job with my degree in psyc and haven't had any luck finding anything! I'm sure that unless I go back for my masters, I won't ever use my degree.
