Is anybody interested in doing a prenatal pilates class with me?  I'm a FTM due in August.  It's at Harmony Pilates studio in Kailua and the class is from 9am-10am on Sundays.  Check out the website for details www.harmonypilates.com.  No prior pilates experience is required (I've never taken a pilates class before) and the website says that the class is good for women in any stage of pregnancy.  The first class is $5 and then from there it is $21 for a drop in class or $180 for a package of 10 classes.  I'm thinking of starting up this Sunday if anybody wants to join!  I'm also up for meeting at the Kailua Whole Foods at 10:30 for breakfast if anybody is interested.  Just let me know!

    This sounds great! As it's already 9:30 on Sunday I'll have to try again for next week. This is my first baby too and it would be great to talk with someone going through the same stuff! I hope you liked the class.

    Hey Meghan,

    I didn't hear back from anybody so we didn't end up meeting today.  I also didn't make it to the class since I ended up sleeping in :) I'm gonna try to make it to next week's class and I'm up for meeting at Whole Foods around 10:30 next Sunday or on a morning during the week if anybody is up for it.  Just let me know what works with your schedule!

    Hi Gemma, 

     I haven't seen much active chatter from the Oahu group yet either but hope mommas will start popping up soon! This coming weekend I volunteered to help out at my church with youth group but the 10th I would love to try a Pilates class and get breakfast at Whole Foods. 

    Other random question have you done much maternity clothing shopping? I have started pushing out of my clothes and clearly need to start looking for things I can 'grow' into. Suggestions?

    The 10th sounds great for pilates and breakfast. I just went maternity shopping for the first time last week. I went to Target, the Navy Exchange, and the Old Navy outlet in Waikele. By far the best was the Old Navy outlet. I also plan on trying the Motherhood Maternity outlet which is also in Waikele. When are you due btw and where on the island do you live? Are
    you free to meet up any weekday mornings or are Sundays better for you?

    Hi Gemma, 

    I live in the back of Hawaii Kai by Kalama Valley, Southeast Oahu. Baby is due Sept 12th, just finishing up my 12th week! Are you out in Kailua?

    Weekdays I can do Wednesdays almost every week. Spring break I will have more flexibility which is coming up soon! The last two weeks of March the school where I work will be on break.

    I just went maternity shopping yesterday at Good Will and found a few summer dresses I can 'grow' into which were only gently used so that was a relief as my pants aren't quite fitting already!

    Hey everyone

    I'm signed up for the prenatal pilates class at 9 this Sunday (3/10) at Harmony Pilates in Kailua (it will be my first class) so let me know if you want to join me!  I was thinking we could meet at Whole Foods for breakfast after the class around 10:15/10:30.  Let me know if you plan on making it!

    Sounds great! FYI I'm about 5'0, preggers (obvs) and will be wearing a black and white striped top bc it's the only maternity top I own. See you tomorrow!
