Frankly yeah, a picture of a newborn fresh out of the vag who hasn't been cleaned yet is a bit disgusting. It's only cute when it's your own kid.

Betas falling on 04/26/12 Chemical Pregnancy
RPL testing done, multi nodular goiters on thyroid discovered.

Betas: 17 @ 9dpo, 62 @ 11dpo, 124 @ 12dpo, 321 @ 14dpo 720 @ 16dpo 13,805 @ 23 dpo
First ultrasound at 6w3d, hb 122 bpm.

I personally think this picture is wonderful it I understand that initial reactions could be upset and anger without knowing what it is.
What I don't understand though is how the miracle of birth, even with all the fluids etc that come with it can be considered gross.

Ok apparently my sarcasm font isn't working today. But ftr, you can't have your cake and eat it too. It's a newborn baby. This one isn't any more gross than ones out of caul.
I too, have read this in some of my historic novels.
I don't find the image disturbing. I find it amazing, really. A glimpse at the life within us.
PGAL ladies you might want to avoid my reply here I apologize I am going to get graphic. I also apologize for the quote tree whenever I try to cut it my browser messes up and wont let me post.
Soleil- since you seem to have not only missed the point, but continue to push the issue Im going to spell it out for you. Its not a matter of this picture being gross, we all get its a newborn baby and its a normal thing. What your not getting is that seeing it in the sac like that can trigger painful memories for some of the PGAL ladies. I did not miscarry naturally so I didn't have to see anything, but some ladies were not so lucky. For some who miscarry naturally they have to see everything and often the baby comes out with sac intact. So seeing the sac covering a baby (even a healthy one) is painful.
No one said there was anything wrong with this picture or that it shouldn't be allowed to be posted, just that a simple warning would be appreciated so those who don't want to/cant handle seeing it can avoid it.

When I was 7 I witnessed my cocker spaniel have puppies and they came out with the sac. Then she ate it.

sarcasm concerning ladies who have had losses and their feelings on something potentially hurtful was pretty rude so no I won't chill out on this one. I rarely ever get involved in drama/debate on this board

My water broke while I was pushing, seconds before he was born. Crazy to think he was almost born in the sac.
