What day did you actually have baby?

What caused the early or late arrival?

I'm just curious. Small fry was due August 23, but because of my BP/preeclampsia,she came out on the first instead.
I feel like I've been all over this board this weekend!

I had him on the 21st after going into labor on my own on the 20th.

Water was trickling out for a few hours but I was having no contractions so I was induced.
I am so glad I had him when I did because he was born at 9 pounds 5 oz and was 21 inches long. I don't know if I could have held him in longer!

My official due date was August 19. (I calculated it should really have been August 22, I was charting and I have 31-32 day cycles not 28 day cycles.)

LO was born August 25, 6 days past my official due date. Natural labor, not induced.

Charlotte was due on 7/31 and I had her on 8/4 after going into labor naturally. I was scheduled to be induced on 8/7.

I had my membranes stripped (never again!) on 8/7, went to labor on 8/8 and 3 days later she made her arrival finally.

My original due date was August 28.

I had DD on September 1 (so technically, I'm not an August mom but this is where I hung out while pregnant).

She was just stubborn and was perfectly comfortable in there My doctor wanted to induce on Labor Day (ironic, I know) but I went on my own. Her heart rate had kept dropping then would go back to normal on the Friday before I had her on Saturday. My doctor didn't think I'd have her over the weekend and didn't want to risk her going into distress since things weren't quite right so wanted to induce. It was going to be a LONG scary weekend, not knowing if her heart rate would keep dropping, but I started having contractions. I went in and they were going to send me home. My doctor wasn't on call for the hospital, but came in to see me. She didn't want me to wait until Monday since DD's heart rate started dropping a bit, again, and broke my water. She was born at 9pm.

My EDD was 8/18, though my fertility doctor originally gave me the due date of 8/21. She was born right between those dates on 8/20. I went into labor on my own.

I really expected him to be much earlier. My water broke with DD at 37 weeks.

What day did you actually have baby? Went into labor on my own on the 25th...he was born on the 27th.

What caused the early or late arrival? I consider within a few days of the due date to be "on time".

My EDD was August 25th. DS was born 8/16.

I went in for decreased movement on 8/15, he failed the stress test, so they induced. His heart rate kept dropping throughout my labor and I ended up with an emergency c section.

What caused the early or late arrival? I had a placental abruption. They were born at 36w6d.

EDD was the 25th, but he came on the 23rd on his own. I guess he just wanted to meet me?

I was having contractions and throwing up all day on the 22nd, then my water broke at 11pm. I labored through the night and had him at noon on the 23rd!

Original edd was aug. 11. I was induced on the 10th due to his heart condition, so a cardiac team from the children's hospital would be present for his birth. He was born on the 10th with over 10 doctors and nurses present.

DH was scheduled to start a new job on the 20th that was hours away from where we were living at the time. I was so worried about delivery logistics so I talked to my Dr about our options. He stripped my membranes on the 5th and said if I didn't have the baby to come in on the 10th. At that appointment he said I would have a favorable induction based on my Bishop's score. My induction was started at 8 PM and I had Mina at 3:30 that morning.

Phew, that was a long answer!

We went into labor on our own. I always suspected that 8/5/12 SHOULD be the due date as I know exactly when he was conceived, and was then he was born 38 weeks to the day.

Serafina was due on the 21st, but we induced on the night of the 27th. She was born via emergency csection due to placental abruption on the 28th just an ounce shy of 9 pounds and with a huge head, so good thing we got her out when we did.

I had zero labor signs, but had acupuncture for labor induction the night before my due date. I woke up in labor the next morning. We had a relatively quick, natural birth on my due date.

EDD was Sept 3rd

Arrival date was Aug 16th

My water broke the morning of the 16th- like gushing!!!- but I wasn't having any contractions so the doctor gave me pitocin. Eleven hours later DS was born! I think he came early because he grew a lot in those last weeks. I was HUGE and he was measuring 3 weeks ahead. We actually had an ultrasound the week before he was born to measure him and check to see if there was anything going on. He just ran out of room and wanted to come out I guess.

I'm amazed at you ladies who are like "oh I went into labor on this day and had him/her two days later." I don't think I could have endured contrations, or laying in a hospital bed, for that long. I'm thankful for the quick labor.

What caused the early or late arrival? I went in for my 38 week apt and I was 5 cm and having contractions. Doc sent me to the hospital, broke my water, and she was born 1.5 hours later.

Omgosh, I forgot what his due date was. I had to look it up on a calendar! He was due August 13th. I was admitted to be induced on August 20th and he was born on Tuesday August 21st @ 8:34pm via c-section after being stalled at 4cm most of the day. I had cervadil Monday night and started on pitocin Tuesday morning followed by an epidural and had my water manually broke. I never felt a contraction, never had to push. I feel slightly jipped.... but at the same time labor is labor and it's all painful in the end!

I had GD so they planned to induce me at 38 weeks, then I developed preeclampsia and they hospitalized me at 33 weeks. At 35w6d they decided that the risk to me was greater than the risk of having the baby early. I had a csection and DS spent 1 week in the NICU.

What caused the early or late arrival? Not sure. We think since the cord was wrapped and he had to be resuscitated that he knew it was time to come out for survival.
