3rd Trimester

I'm a substitute

Today it was for a 1st grade class. Every time this little boy came up to ask me a question, he would touch my belly it was too cute!

He asked me if it was a boy and I told him it was. He then told me that the baby was going to probably look like his daddy. THEN he said "So, hows the lil guy gonna get outta there??" LOL Oh my goodness, KIDS!!

Re: I'm a substitute

  • One of my pre k girls told me how babies "get in there". Her information was accurate but I feigned ignorance and just said "Well, that's news to me!" and found an excuse to walk away. Talk about awkward!

  • I teach 2nd grade and I've had a student ask the same thing! It left me stammering for an answers....I think I said something along the lines of a doctor helps and quickly changed the subject.  lol
  • I teach Kindergarten...at dismissal last week a student asked me if I was still pregnant. I said "Yes of course" he gave my belly a skeptical look as said "is your baby naked in there?" HA.

  • Haha. :) I'm a sub too, but luckily my kids just want to know what her name will be. Last year, though, I had a 4th grader ask me during a health study "How can a baby have genes from both a mom and a dad if the baby is only inside the mom?" I had no idea how to answer that one.

  • Lol when I was babysitting my mom's friend's son (he's borderline ausberger) he pointed at my stomach and boobs and told me I was having two babies. bahahaha it was really funny, I had to keep explaining to him that the baby was only in my stomach not my chest.
  • Lmao! That's cute! I would've told him that he's gonna squeeze out of my bellybutton!

  • I'm a little jealous.  I'm a second grade teacher and none of my students have asked anything about my belly.  They also don't try to touch it either.  I'm not jealous of that.  Most of them have at least one or two siblings so they may know where babies come from.

Thank you!  This made me laugh out loud.  Love it :)

  • I'm not a teacher, but I wanted to share what my niece and nephew do.  They are 4 & 3 years old and they like to come up to my belly and listen and then say "He's knocking on the door!  He wants out!" and it just makes me laugh because they have no idea what the "door" for him to get out would be, haha!
