Re: FFFC

  • Wow, this thread is hoppin' already... Anyhoo

I have two quizzes due this weekend for my classes, and I haven't studied AT ALL for them. I have no idea what the material is on. And, frankly, I don't give a sh!t. I'm gonna hit these quizzes cold and will still probably score in the 90's like I have in weeks past.

FFFC: I can't wait for someone to post again about how they are worried to not have gained weight.  I want to see you and (hopefully) everyone else flip out.  I could use the entertainment today :P

Haha. Haven't they been a bit excessive lately? I just feel like the weight gain thing is common sense. It seems most people that post about it are just trying to boast that they haven't gained any weight. Um, who cares. Your time will come.

My husband doesn't have the 22 year old body he had when we first met 6 years ago... And I wish he did.

I feel you. My husband was 26 when we met and smokin hot! Now... Lol he has gained a few pounds and it isn't muscle weight! ..... I bet he feels the same way about me though! I will never EVER be a size 2 again. Nor will I try.

I haven't been to the dentist in 5 years. Not intentionally, I just haven't really thought about it. I realized it the other day & am now in panic about it. I scheduled an appt as soon as I realized, but I'm scared they're going to tell me my whole mouth is broken.

I generally find that if it's been too long btw dentist visits, if I have a problem, I can feel it. So if you're not having pain or noticing and damage to any teeth, you might be fine, esp. if you have good brushing habits. FX for a healthy mouth.

My FFFC is that I'm a little annoyed with my mom and sister. Neither of them seem to care that much that I'm pg. My MIL is great, always asking about me, baby, dr. visits, etc. she's even bought a couple little gifts. I can tell she's really excited about her new grandchild. I don't expect to be the center of attention or be lavished with gifts or anything, but mom and sis have hardly even checked in with me since I told them and they were the 1st to know.

I know they are excited, but they don't seem to show it. It's probably just stupid hormones making me feel this way, but it makes me worry about whether they'll make an effort to have a close relationship with LO.

thank you for the encouragement, I certainly hope you're right!

GL with your Mom & Sis. My H's family barely acknowledges the fact that we're pregnant (to consumed with their own lives) but it can be hurtful, mostly just because I'd love to share the connection with my MIL.

No advice, but I'm sorry you have to deal with that.

I just realized that my dentist comment was really negative. I wasn't implying you would have a bad visit, I've always had issues with my teeth, so it was dumb of me to not go for that long. DH skipped 5 years, never ever flosses, and he has perfect teeth.

I have gained 11lbs. It makes me feel like a fat ass when they post omg I haven't gained is this normal?!! I know I am not fat by far but still, no need pointing out that you have been lucky not to gain and I have almost covered half the weight recommended.

Oh! I actually have a decent one! So someone on my friends list announced they were pregnant this week and I am already thinking about blocking her posts. She's sweet but incredibly stupid and is already asking asinine questions. This is not her first. I try not to be a judgey mom but I already know I'm going to either block the posts or side eye so hard and so often I'm going to need to hit up the optometrist!

This made me chuckle. There are some people on my FB who I still have as friends but have their posts blocked because honestly it gets fluckin ridiculous the crap they say. To be fair, I model and so I have modeling friends and DJ's from the radio site on my FB as it helps to promote. But WTF this one girl gripes everyday about how great of a model she is and how she got into it with this photog or that photog. Mind you the woman is like 40 years old and has never had a paid gig and probably never will. There is a reason that certain people will not work with her as she is a pompous know it all that thinks she is the best thing that ever happened to the modeling industry. It is ok if once in a while you and a photog may not clash but EVERY DAY?!!?!! Look in the mirror my dear, it seems you are the problem not them. Blah!!

Haha! I think it is hilarious that she would claim to be a model when she has never been paid for a single job. And with an attitude like that she never will. I modeled full time for a couple years and I was able to support myself and my daughter from the income, and I still felt silly calling myself a model. I only did one or 2 print jobs, but mostly I was a promotional model for conventions, which can be a full time job here in Vegas.  And I was able to get tons of work because I got along with the clients...no one wants to work with an attitude problem.  Especially one that has never even landed a paid job!

  • DH had a trip for work come up yesterday that he will now be gone all weekend for.  I should be more sad about this seeing that I have worked all week and will be traveling most of next week for work, but I'm actually looking forward to him not nagging me all weekend about what I'm eating and how much I'm exercising.

I feel like a terrible wife for thinking this.  I know he's only looking out for me, but honestly, it's getting a little overwhelming...

"OMG Im a D they are soo huge! nothing will fit me" I get that it might be a big change for someone smaller but come complain to me when your boobs are so big you have to special order everything, and you have permanent indents. I wish I could thumbs up on my browser. I wind up going to intimacy, getting a bra where the cups fit, and then they alter the band down to be the correct size. It's like frankenstein bras. I refuse to buy a bra without trying it on first since good bras are expensive, I've never even tried to order anything. I envy girls who can buy inexpensive bras.

ETA: I thought girls were supposed to stop growing when they were 18ish. That's what they told us in health class, damnit! I wore a D in high school and slowly grew 2 more cup sizes over the years before I was ever pg. Now it's just ridiculous. I feel like I have two giant floppy jellyfish on my chest.

high school health class was wroooonnng! lol. I avoided ordering stuff online for a LOONNG time for the same reason, but then I got so big I have no choice, even nordstrom (which carries my brands) doesn't carry my cup size often and I don't live near an intimacy. Ordering online isn't so bad once you learn how the different brands fit. Sometimes I have to send it back but its usually no biggie. For some reasons mine get bigger with each pregnancy but don't go back down afterwards! its the first place I gain weight and the last I loose it

Oh, I feel you on this one. I have someone on my friends list who is 37 weeks, currently. This is her second pregnancy and since the day she found out she has been complaining. Constantly. Her back hurts, her boobs are too big, she' soooo tired. Waa waa waaa. I finally blocked her, but went to look at updated pictures of her son (he's so adorable) and saw that she also hosted her own baby shower (since, ya know, this one's a girl!) and that she had invited everyone via facebook. SMH.

I just want to look her in the face and say "STOP. IT."

I'm a FTM, so maybe I'll be the same way with number 2?? I just can't see the need to complain all the time, especially online! Everyone thinks you don't like your kid, JSYK.

Not at all! And when it really comes down to it, I guess don't care for anyone other than myself, as long as the end result is a healthy baby and mama. Maybe it's stemming from family/friends and my (former) doctor for looking at me like I have 3 heads for saying I'm considering going unmedicated, when they had epidurals and will fully admit to not doing any research beforehand because "it's totally safe." Sigh.

    Gotcha! Yeah that's annoying!

I admit I did go the medicated route with DS and had an amazingly short and easy delivery. Im hoping everything goes as perfectly as last time!

But it was not without a lot of reading and discussing risks from the epi with my dr and pregnancy books. And even when I got the epi I had a twinge of, is this the right decision for me? Because I knew the risks and frankly while they are rare...they are scary!

I admit I do side eye people IRL that just yell out "get me the epi ASAP!" When they talk about upcoming labor. Because it was not an easy decision for me and it wont be this time either! I held out to 6 cm and decided to get it. Selfishly, perhaps in the eyes of some, but it turned out for the best and I had a wonderful experience!

You know it's so funny. This time, I am not as excited to find out the sex. Well, I am excited, but I remember with DS my EDD was July 26...and my OB office does the scan at 20 weeks. So I was THE LAST ONE on the bmb to know. So it was crazy annoying to see those posts for me back then.

This time I am fine waiting to the scan. The first time all I could think about was whether its a girl or boy. But this time I barely think about it at all! I think it's because I have a total team green mentality this time around...but DH refuses to wait to find out....boo.
