Is nn too close to close relative name?

We are considering Dashiell for our DD. And we like the nn Dash. My brother's name is Cash. (Actually, it's my brother's mn, but since birth he has always gone by his mn.) Cash and Dash. Too similar? DH brought this up this morning.

"Cash is coming to pick up Dash at 3:00."

"Cash and Dash both have blue eyes."

"Dash, looks what Uncle Cash brought you!"

It's okay, right??

ETA: NOT for our DD... For our DS! (I'm used to typing DD because that's what I have now! LOL.)

No, I wouldn't be too worried about it. Father/son-yes, Uncle/nephew-no.

It's too close for brothers but since its an Uncle and a nephew, you're fine. I like Dashiell, btw, nice name.

I think it's fine. I would only reconsider if it the two were siblings.

My son is Christian and he has an Uncle Chris on each side of the family - never been a problem.

Father/Son yes, too close but Uncle/Nephew not at all. Great name for a little man, though I wonder if it is as popular "IRL" as it is here?!

Yah, that's what I am trying to figure out and decide on. I got really good reviews when I asked on here (only one person said she hated it, the rest were "really like" or "love"), but still slightly doubtful it would be that way in IRL especially with family. Though I did get one awesome and thorough reply from a mama of a Dashiell and she told me most of her experience IRL was positive ("cool" and "distinguished" were frequent reactions). She gave me a lot of IRL perspective that helped a lot!
