Taking Sick Baby for a Walk WWYD?

My LO has a cold and is miserable. He just wants to be held and rocked. I am wondering if fresh air would make him feel better or make things worse. What do you ladies think?

  • If it he was a toddler and doing the walking I'd say let him rest but since he's a babe then I think the fresh air would be nice.  Enjoy your walk!

    It's 35 degrees. I live in Maine.

  • My DS would be much happier outside and in the sling, even at 35 degrees and with a cold.  It doesn't hurt to give it a try and don't go far so you can pop back in the house if he gets fussy.

  • Dress him appropriately and I think you are fine. If nothing else, the change of scenery gives you a break from constant holding/rocking and might help keep your sanity. Sick kiddo's are the worst - hang in there momma.

  • I would say walk - though I'm a big florida baby now and 35 is so freezing to me.  If you are use to it and dress properly I would.  I always take my LO's out when they are sick I think the fresh air does them good.
