  • I don't like the name Ivy at all..seems harsh and like a mean lady..doesn't fit with a cute name like Amelia

    My DD2 is Amelia...obviously I love it! Rae is her mn...DH's mn is Ray.

  • Although I like the names June and Ivy, Amelia Isabel sounds the loveliest. This is more a personal preference, but I would spell it Isabelle. Good luck!

    Amelia June is adorable, and it sounds great with your LN. I don't love the flow of the -lia into the I in either of your other choices - IMO, it's best followed by a consonant rather than a vowel.

    This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts! 
    DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome.
    131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
    We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.
  • Well put...I was kind of hesitant of the other names for the same reason, but wasn't sure if the vowel/consonant rules were a common concern.
