How many of us here had a c/s due to failed induction? I know other things factor in, but I'm curious how many of us on here had an induction as part of their process!!
Did your doctor's mention it was a failed induction? Mine just said I was too small and that he flipped to be sunny side up. And the report that went on my medical leave papers just said threatened Pre-E (which I didn't have.....)

Re: Just curious....GTKY
I was induced on a t Tuesday night and he didn't come until very very early on Thursday morning, so I share your same thinking.
I can't believe THEY told YOU that you were too tired. And I know what you mean about just wanting him to be out and in your arms.

I wasn't induced, I went into labor on my own with regular contractions from the very start. 17 hours later they broke my water and 4 hours later my contractions were every minute and I asked for the epi and I was checked and made no progress. I was giving pitocin and they ran that and increased it to the max amount for several hours until the next day and I was still only 2 cm. At that point DD was still in my belly but my belly was laying on the bed beside me while I was still on my back and would not descend into my pelvis. And we decided with the OB after more then 30 hours it was time for a section as I had a major fever. When they did the procedure they determine my pelvis was very narrow but also my scoliosis tilted my pelvis too far left for baby to descend.
I think the induction medication was mentioned in the report but the reason was the scoliosis and narrow pelvis (I forget the acronym/term used)
wow that is crazy! I had the opposite thing happen.... After about three hours of pushing in all kinds of positions I told them I was too tired to go on! And even then my doc was trying to persuade me to keep going. It turns out my daughter was OP, big, and having a hard time descending. My doc told me later he thinks I made a good choice, lol.
OP, I went into labor on my own at 40 w 2 days and didn't even have any pitocin for my entire labor.

I was induced on a Monday morning around 7:30am and around 2pm I stopped making progress. My Doctor let me continue to try and make progress until about 5:30/6pm when she "called it" and said that I'd need a c-section because "Baby was getting tired."
I was having blood pressure issues too and was confined to bed all day so I know she was worried about my BP too.
I went into labor on my own, and my water broke on it's own. They started me on Pitocin as soon as I got to the hospital, though, because I'd been in labor for awhile and not progressed.
My official reason was "failure to progress" and because my water had been broken 24+ hours. Failure to progress was most likely due to DS not being positioned well.
same here, I had my 40 wk appt scheduled for the exact time I had my c-section, with the same doc. I remember glancing at the clock and thinking, 'well since I was booked for now, that's one less patient in the waiting room'. DD was born the week after Christmas and they basically had a skeleton crew going. My doc was the only one there for at least part of the week.
