Does anyone have the Cybex Aton infant cat seat or have researched it? I am looking for reviews/thoughts on this car seat as its one that is highly recommended for those that don't have a car and live in a city and travel by taxi due to the extra safety routing path for seat belts when used without the base. Since its a newer car seat in the US and I have not been able to find a lot of information. I would be using it with the Uppa Baby Vista stroller (using Maxi Cosi adapters). The other car seat I am considering is the Graco Snugfit 35.
Would appreciate any input - thank you!
Re: Cybex Aton
I don't have any reviews or thoughts being a FTM but we got the graco snugride 35. In all the research we did that one came out on top in almost every category
Hope that helped a little!
I'll be honest and when I read your post title, my first thought was "Is that what she wants to name her kid?" I'm obviously clueless. lol
Consumer Reports did a review of this particular car seat. It recieved an overall rating of 63.
Crash protection: very good
Ease of use: good
Fit to vehicle LATCH: very good
Fit to BELT: good
Side Note:
The Graco Snugride 30 overall score was 65
Chicco Key Fit 30 recieved tje highest score of 80
Actually this is a very popular car seat. Especially safety wise. It is SUPER easy to install, even without the base. It is super light at 8 lbs AND accommodates up to 30lbs which is usually unheard of. They just made some safety improvement to the 2013 and the 2012 is selling out everywhere. I'm bummed because I wanted it in a color that they are not offering in the 2013 lineup but it's sold out everywhere. It is so much lighter than the snug ride and the material is super nice. The couple of cons is that the sun shade stinks, but that's true of most infant car seats, and it makes a rattling noise when empty. Also some moms complained that the harness is hard to adjust when in the base because it can get caught on the splitter plate underneath. This is not an issue if you are not using the base OR you tighten the harness before you click it into the base. Here is some info on the new 2013 features.

If you google the cybex in the YouTube search engine baby gizmo has are really good video on the install.
If your looking for something modern looking and light weight the cybex or maxi cosi micro and your best options. I have 5 kids and have pretty much had every seat they make. They all have pros and cons. I would not hesitate to get either. Hope that helpes!
Here is a super detailed honest review you may find helpful.

Am I the only one who finds the "super honest" part shady coming from someone whose sole 2 posts have been to comment on this thread?
(though to be fair, the review does seem legit)
