I took a pregnancy test this am from the dollar tree. I waited 4 minutes and got a very faint positive. I showed it to my husband and he doesn't see anything. We are TTC and I am 14 dpo and 5 days late on my period. Took the same brand test 2 days ago and got a negative result. Any advice? I feel like I am losing my mind and seeing things.

This but also the dollar tree ones suck. I never got a BfP with them. Also if you are PG you are PG ...FMU wont matter. I POAS around the clock bahaha.
if your brand test comes up neg.. I would go for the blood test. Most docs will make you get one anyway so you'll just be one step ahead.
Make a pregnancy ticker
what terrible advice. Most docs do not make you get a blood test. A positive test is a positive test. You will take up your offices time by requesting a blood test. Because they will have you do a urine test in office first. If theirs is negative, then that's it.

I found out on Friday (12 DPO) The dollar store tests were giving me BFN's. Then Fri night I got BFP on a wondfo. Sat I used a FRER in the morning and night and both BFPs
At 11 DPO I got the faintest of faint lines on a Dollar Tree test. That morning I bought a FRER and digi which were both positive when I tested that afternoon.
At 14 DPO I think it would be fine to test in the afternoon if you don't drink a ton of water beforehand and are able to hold it for several hours.
I know exactly what you mean! I used a Dollar Tree test, too. The second line I got was so faint it was almost white -- I couldn't even tell if there was any color there. It was almost like a hologram; I had to hold it just the right way to see it. It appeared right around the five minute mark. If I left the test longer (after the point when it was supposed to become invalid), the second line would darken to a very light pink.
I took three of these tests -- same results. Then I tried one with tap water, and I made my husband pee on one. The tap water and husband pee tests didn't show ANY second line at all -- either white or pink, either during the valid time window or after.
I was testing pretty early -- about 10 days after conception. It turns out I am pregnant, so those very faint lines were positives. I eventually bought a more expensive test just to make sure.
My advice? If your husband doesn't see anything, make him pee on one and compare. Or try again tomorrow and the next day and see if the lines get darker. Or give in and buy a more expensive test -- the Dollar Tree ones do work, but if you're doubting yourself, it might be worth $7 just to know it's a positive.
Based on my experience, I'd say you're pregnant. Congratulations!
Actually, the Dollar Tree tests are more sensitive than a lot of other tests. See the levels of hCG that these brands of tests measure:

My experience--the Dollar tree tests worked for me before I had missed a period. Faint line, but there. And my friend's doctor uses the exact same kind in their clinic--no frills, but accurate.
