From the post below.....
I know it is early days, but this is fun to think about.
Who will be in your delivery room?
If possible do you want your partner to catch the baby, or cut the cord?
Do you plan to have a birth playlist or anything special with you?
Re: Who will be in your delivery room?
DH will be the only person in the delivery room, no exceptions.
He's delivered enough babies (he's a firefighter) for his liking, so he'll only be cutting the cord.
No birth plans yet, just going into it with an open mind. I will be bringing my own quilt to the hospital this time (in addition to a better pillow)...I was FREEZING!

MH, my grief counselor/co-founder of Aidan's Book Corner/ my rock, and 2 NICU nurses that I'm really close with will be in the OR.
My OB will make the initial cut of the cord, but she'll cut it longer and then MH will cut it down to the right length. I'm also 99% sure that I want this c/s to be recorded so I can watch my baby's birth.
DH will be in the room, and I think that's it. I am considering having my Mom there, but not really sure, yet. I guess we have plenty of time to think about it.
I haven't given much thought to a playlist yet. I have no idea what I will be in the mood to listen to in that moment...

Assuming I make it to full term,
Who will be in your delivery room? Just DH
If possible do you want your partner to catch the baby, or cut the cord? Doctor will help the baby out, they are better at reducing tearing than DH would be. DH will cut the cord again if possible (not sure if that is allowed if we donate cord blood, DS came too early for that to happen).
Do you plan to have a birth playlist or anything special with you? No, a playlist would just irritate me. Only thing I'll want with me is a picture of DS on my camera or phone, because I know I'll miss him like crazy.
2 years, 2 surgeries, 2 clomid fails, 2 IUIs, 1 loss, IVF #1 - 10/25/10 = BFP!, DS is now 3.5yrs!
TTC #2 - 6/12 surgery #3, FET #1 & 1.2 = BFN, 12/2012 FET #2 = BFP! DD is 1.5 yrs!
Surprise! 12/16/14 BFP, loss #2 12/31/14
I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
I plan on just having my DH. No moms.
I don't want him to catch the baby, I would rather him stay by my head, holding my hand. If he wants to cut the cord, I say go for it!
I haven't even thought about what I'll be bring yet.
Just me and DH - and probably a playlist of some sort, DS was boen to David Gilmour.
I want DH to cut the cord again, but as with DS- we agreed he is not going below the waist.
I imagine ILs will be watching DS and my parents will come down the day of - we were induced with DS so if this one comes on his or her own- that will be new!
My husband was AMAZING when our son was born. He was so comforting and sweet even though I was threatening to murder him because of the pain I was in. He tried is best to keep me comfortable and happy. It will definitely be hubby in the room with me and that's all.
My only exception is that my BFF is training to be a doula and I may let her test out her skills on me, especially since we are doing Bradley method and she won't charge us anything!
I definitely don't want a crowd in there though! I cannot wait! There is nothing like the feeling of holding your child for the first time. I'm tearing up just thinking about it!
Mom to Cam and Al, now expecting baby number 3, August 2016. Praying for lots of sticky baby dust!
DH will be the only one in the delivery room. Everyone else can have a party in the waiting room. I don't need everyone in my business while I'm either pushing 2 babies out, or being cut open, if it comes down to having a c-section.
DH wants to cut the cords, but everything else he'll be leaving up to the doctor.
If possible do you want your partner to catch the baby, or cut the cord? No. We discussed it last time and he has no desire to do either. He is a tad squeamish.
Do you plan to have a birth playlist or anything special with you? No. I will be bringing necessities only.
We haven't discussed any of the other stuff yet. We have a long way to go, and will make the decisions when it gets closer.
When dd2 was born, my dad had dd1 in the hallway and they could see the baby warmer from there. So that was good enough for me! I see things ping pretty much the same this time!
Who will be in your delivery room? DH and the medical staff, that's it.
If possible do you want your partner to catch the baby, or cut the cord? No. He will be up by my head and probably holding my leg like last time. He didn't want to cut the cord.
Do you plan to have a birth playlist or anything special with you? No, I'm hoping it's quick like last time. I didn't miss not having things like a playlist last time so I'm not really concerned with that.
I want exactly what I had last time...
Who will be in your delivery room? DH, a nurse, and the OB.
If possible do you want your partner to catch the baby, or cut the cord? The OB can catch, but DH will cut the cord after it stops pulsing.
Do you plan to have a birth playlist or anything special with you? Nope. When I'm in pain I like dark quiet spaces. Since I'm planning on going med free again, I'll request the doors shut with only whispers/soft voices in the room and lights dimmed.
Who will be in your delivery room? DH for sure, I think my mom would drive me crazy. she can visit but I don't want her there for the actual delivery/pushing. one of my best girlfriends is a nurse with a L&D specialty. I would like to use her as a kind of doula- but she is due one month before me so I am thinking that she won't be up for it.
If possible do you want your partner to catch the baby, or cut the cord? No catching- he can cut the cord if he wants, I don't really care about that part too much
Do you plan to have a birth playlist or anything special with you? haven't really thought about that yet. I guess I will have my phone and we have a portable speaker thing so we could bring it but not have it be a necessity I guess. I did find these cute onsie/hat that says the baby is breast fed only- I think I will bring that as a must.

Cord cutting: no way...if DH finangles his way in he is strictly top of the bed
Music: Im always cold so I will bring some bedding I don't need back, socks etc. ill make a playlist for sure...not sure if I'd use it until I see how I feel
The only one who will be in the room with me will be DH and the medical staff. My mom and MIL are trying to fight me on this one though. My step MIL is being supportive and I know she will get them out of the room when the time comes.
DH wants to cut the cord. He also wants to catch the baby, but I know I will want him holding my hand at that point.
We haven't really thought about the last question yet. I am thinking at the least having my nook and Ipod with me so I can occupy myself for a while at least.
My husband will be the only one in the room. My parents were in the room last time but they will be with DD this time around.
DH is TBD on cutting the cord - I had a c/s last time so he didn't get the option to. If all goes well and I VBAC he will, if not, he won't.
I had a playlist last time, I will likely do the same this time around.
Who will be in your delivery room?
DH, probably no one else, but if a parent or sibling of ours is willing to take the time off to be around when the delivery is happening (we live out of town from everyone), they'd be welcome in my mind. Though we'd probably just have them watch DS at home...so really it's just going to be DH. My parents were both there last time and that was awesome (for everyone). Both of them helped in different ways, and both are grateful for the experience, especially my mom (my dad is a doctor and has seen lots of deliveries before. My mom has DONE them as the mom, but not seen them!) But we don't live there anymore so odds are that won't happen again.
If possible do you want your partner to catch the baby, or cut the cord?
I don't even know if he cut the cord last time. I don't really mind either way. It is up to him.
Do you plan to have a birth playlist or anything special with you?
No. I brought music for last time but everything was so fast that I didn't play it. Now looking back it would have been distracting and annoying. I guess we could consider bringing a CD in case I have a long labor the second time but odds are there will be no use for it.
Yeah, I agree...when you're in the moment you don't care who is looking. There are all sorts of medical people in there (students, etc) and I really didn't care that my parents were watching "down there" as well. I was just focused on getting that baby out. I also feel this way about the "pooping" thing. Apparently I didn't poop myself last time according to DH but who cares if you do? It seems horrible now but when you're in the moment you just need to push...it's really all you're thinking about. The medical professionals are used to everything and they won't be grossed out.
If possible do you want your partner to catch the baby, or cut the cord? Dh will cut the cord but not catch the baby if he remains conciliation
Do you plan to have a birth playlist or anything special with you? I'm still working on my rough draft of my birthing plan so I'm not sure
Just me and DH will be in the room like we were last time. When DS was born MIL was all PO'd because I wouldn't let her be in the room... umm sorry lady, it's a birth not a show.
I had a c/s last time so he didn't cut the cord. If I get my VBAC then hopefully he can cut it this time. Not way would he want to catch the baby.
We will probably have a playlist or something, I haven't thought that far ahead yet.
Only DH will be in the room (aside from hospital staff of course).
I don't think DH will want to catch the baby, and I'm not certain if he wants to cut the cord, but I will leave those decisions to him.
I don't have plans for a playlist, because honestly I'd rather not have music going in addition to everything else. Might bring a pillow from home though & a robe or blanket because hospitals are always fridgid!
Only DH will be in the room for delivery. He doesn't want to look at anything and stay north of the end zone so he will only cut the cord.
I haven't thought about anything else yet but knowing me I will likely have some music for background noise.
This! :-)

Playlists? Oh christ. So many things I know nothing about- pregnancy and birthing related.
I just want my H in the room. I'm very close with my mom, but I tend to want to punch her in stressful situations, so it's best that she stay away. I'm not sure how H will do or what he'll want to do. I'll leave the cord cutting/looking/catching (I didn't know that was possible, either) up to him!
My husband, mom, and mother-in-law will all hopefully be there. Me and MIL are very close (obviously) and she was there for the birth of my daughter as well. My mom actually wasn't there for a number of reasons so I was very glad to have someone else. I'm hoping all three of them can be there this time.
My H will hopefully cut the cord. It's my doctor's job to catch the baby.
No. Socks and hair elastics are at the top of my list.
I had a mirror setup too. I thought my H might be squeamish but he was amazing and totally stepped up to the plate. My water breaking and all the blood didn't even faze him. He ended up holding one of my legs too.
DH will be the only one in the delivery room besides my MW and the L&D nurse assigned to me. It was the same when I delivered our son.
DH cut the cord with our DS and I would like him to the same with this baby. Since it will also be our last child I am going to talk to the MW to see if they allow the husbands to help deliver the baby.
We didn't have any kind of playlist or anything special since I was concentrating on having a baby and could have really cared less about what music was playing in the background as I pushed him out.
