2nd Trimester

18 Weeks and feeling unbelievably fat.

I looked at my picture from week 10 and now week 19 I feel like a blimp, not to mention my breast haven't seemed to get much bigger.

The worst part is I feel so uneven. My legs have gained almost no weight cause I walk so much, but my stomach is so large... I hate feeling disproportional.

One other thing about this, I can't sleep on my stomach anymore and it's killing me, I have always been a tummy sleeper and I can't and I feel like I'm dying, my whole body aches. Any solutions?

Love is love, no matter what parts you were born with, and no matter the colour of your skin.

  • Snoogle/ Pregnancy pillow. It'll change your life.

  • Try to look at the positive ie: your belly is large because your baby is growing and developing.
  • I know the changes are hard but you've got to adjust your expectations.  Your stomach is going to get MUCH larger than the rest of you because that's the nature of the beast.  You're not growing a baby in your legs :)  Honestly, most people HOPE to have a big belly and nothing else.

  • I basically surround myself in pillows that way I can kind of support my belly while sleeping more comfortably on my side.

I'm at 23 weeks and I feel huge too.  People say I look tiny, but I think they are liars.  I'm short too so I feel like I am becoming Violet Beauregard from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory only without the blueberry flavoring.

  • Trust me, it's better to feel disproportionate than to gain the weight all over!
