Well that was dumb

Peed on a stick, 5dp5dt and got a BFN. I hope it was just too early. Jan/Feb BFP'ers or grads lurking: anyone got a negative this early and then went on to get a positive? I need some hope. Crying

    I vote too early!!! Was it first morning urine? I would give it until Sunday and try again in am. Sending double line vibes over to you!!
    Me (37) DH (39); PCOS changed to Unexplained, changed to DOR in 2012 (finally a correct diagnosis!); 
    Started TTC 2009 with RE after 6 months.  
    Clomid + Trigger x2; 
    IUI + Femara x1,
    IUI + Follistim x2;
    IVF #1 (MDL) February 2013- BFN.
    IVF #2 (antagonist) May 2013, First BFP of my life. 
    Identical twin miracle BOYS (!!) headed our way- due date is technically 2/4/14 but c section is scheduled for 1/7!

    I'm embarrassed to say that my entire afternoon at work has been dedicated to googling BFN HPT results at 4dp5dt and 5dp5dt. And let me tell you that the massive majority of what I'm finding (blogs, forum posts, etc) end up turning positive later. Hang in there, it's still way early and I wouldn't say this just to make you feel hopeful if I didn't just spend my entire afternoon finding facts to back it up. :)

     DH: Severe MFI

     12/2/11 - IUI #1- BFN 
    8/1/12 - IVF #1 - Zero response from max stims (600iu intramuscularly)
    My ovaries are just for decoration

     12/6/12 - Adopted five embryos that had been frozen for over ten years!
     2/11/13 - DEmbryo FET #1 Thawed four, sadly two didn't survive. Transferred two beautiful blasts. 
     2/16/13 - First BFP of my life @ 6dp5dt! EDD 10/30/13
     3/27/13 - After beta and u/s hell, no heartbeat ever detected. D&C at 9w1d.

    6/5/13 - Adopted four new embryos that had been frozen for seven years!      
    9/12/13 - DEmbryo FET #2. Thawed and transferred two beautiful blasts
    9/17/13 - BFP @ 5dp6dt! EDD 05/31/14
     9/29/13 - m/c @ 5w1d. :(

    11/19/13 - DEmbryo FET #3. Thawed and transferred one blast from each batch. Wow!
     11/23/13 - BFP @ 4dp6dt! EDD 8/7/13
    Beta #1 @ 13dp6dt - 522  Beta #2 @ 16dp6dt - 1373 
    6w5d ultrasound showed one perfect baby with a beautiful heartbeat of 134bpm!

    Snowflake baby is a girl!

    Too early! I know there was one person on there that just posted hers was negative at 5dpt and then positive at 6dpt.

    First u/s 4/8 saw hb. 4/22 missed mc 8w3d. d&c 4/26

    Don't get discouraged Boots. There are lots of reasons why it's too early to test. I just read today that even the sex of the baby affects the HCG rate and according to NYU 5dt shouldn't be detectable until day 9. I think it's crazy that Harley, CV and I all got BFPs. FX for a great beta on Monday.

    despite the random earliness happening on this board, i think it's VERY unusual to be that early, honestly.  plus, some people have better luck with first morning urine than later, if it was diluted from too much water etc... soo many factors coming in to play this early.  hang in there

    I tested at 6dp5dt and got BFN. Around day 7 or 8 I tested again. If I looked at the test upside down, hung my tongue to the left and closed one eye I could see a line. I had to repeat the same process till about day 11 or 12 before there was a obvious line and DH no longer thought I was crazy. Just my story.

    Rule Nr. 1 of early testers: a bfn means nothing else than it is just too early.

    I'm a commited POAS addict but I only loose all hope when the beta comes back negative. There are hundreds of stories of BFPs that showed up later in the game.

    This time I had a BFN on 5dpt and got a verrrrrrrrrrrrrry faint BFP on the evening of 6dpt and a clear one on 7dpt!

    Praying its too early! 3

    Me- 32, DH- 32- TTC for 4 Years
    IUIs 1-6 BFN
    IVF #1= BFP- M/C
    FET- Beta#1: 69, #2: 482, #3: 1088, #4: 28,318, Ultrasound- 1 beautiful heartbeat

    can definitely be too early... I've only ever gotten a BFP 5dp5dt once (and that ended in an early m/c), I had little control over POAS, and I've had 5 BFPs including this one

    TTC #1 Since 4/2010, Cycle 30
    Positive for HLA-B27, I'm a mutant :p
    Testing - Me ok, gluten issue? DH - borderline count, low motility
    4/28/11 IUI#1 = BFP!(5/25), EDD 2/2/12 - m/c 5w3d
    7/3, 7/31, 9/25 - IUI#2-4=BFN
    IVF#1 - 1 blast = BFP!! (12/30), EDD 9/9/12, confirmed c/p 4w2d

    I didn't test until 7dp5dt. The line was VERY faint and I thought for sure it was a chemical. The line got darker over the following days, but I'm sure it would've been non-existent had I tested any earlier than I did, and it was first morning urine at 7dp, too... I also was carrying twins at the time. Don't lose hope!!

    PAIf Response: Me! I had a 5dt and had negatives until 7dp 5dt. It really is early.
    TTC 1/2010 DH Dx - Azoospermia 2/2011

    DH on Clomid / Arimidex to address hormonal issues - Sperm found July 2011!
    IVF #1 September 2011 - ER 9/8/2011- 8R, 5M - icsi - 1 made it to transfer - BFFN :-(
    IVF #2 Lucky November 2011 - ER 11/25/2011 - 15 eggs!, 13 mature, 10 fertilized with isci - 7 made it to transfer! Transferred 1 - 8 cell and 2 - 7 cell. BFP!!!!
    1st U/S - Twins! 2nd U/S - 3 heartbeats!!! - HOLY COW!!!
    Prayers for our take home babies!
