I'm buying a new set of carseats specifically for traveling on an airplane, and for a back up set. I wanted the set to match. So, I decided on the Costco Scenera. Problem is that it only goes up to 40 lbs. L weighs 37, so it won't last long enough. So then I decided on the Costco Highback Booster. But, I can't rearface K.
So, do I put K forward facing for vacation in the booster? Or do I not get a matching set?
PS- I know the benefits of RFing and current laws and recommendations. Not starting a debate, just asking for opinions.
Re: Carseat Dilemma
This!
What if you just get two different seats, like this:
pink for L:

brown for K:

I agree! People are individuals and you have a boy and a girl. NO need to match things. Do what is best for your child no matter how it looks. My daughter is barely 23lbs and we still have her rear facing. It is a pain at times but I'm going to do it as long as I can.
Yes! K doesn't even weigh that, so I think he needs to stay RFing. L stayed RF until about 19 months.
