My DD woke up to a curtain of hearts on her doorway, then I took her to Dunkin for a heart shaped donut before I had to go to work. And she got a new packet of construction paper and markers since she used all of it up that she got for Christmas!

I don't have kids yet.

I'm a bad wife. I forgot it was Valentine's Day ujntil I got here -- and this is the ONE day in weeks I've left early, before DH got up, to get here in time to prep for a meeting. Oops.

DH woke me up to pancakes in bed this morning!!! I got him an awesome KU Jayhawk statue for his new law office and plan on sexin' him up tonight when he gets home. Also, we plan on dinner tomorrow night at a jazz restaurant. So far, I'd say Valentine's day has been a success for us!

I hope all of our mamas have a wonderful Valentine's day with loved ones! You deserve it!

Hi fives awesome Mom!

I am terrible mom. I forgot it was Vday today until last night around 9. So no treats to take to daycare for poor Adalyn. I have been fighting a horrible head cold/ sinus infection this past week and I seriously cannot think anymore!)

I slept in this morning, then came down and H had made me breakfast and plated it in the shape of a smiley face. Tonight we're ordering in from our favorite restaurant in the city (Joe's Stone Crab) and I'm REALLY excited about that. I made him a basket with a bunch of things he likes, including specialty beers, Godiva (he loves chocolate), new golf balls for this summer, etc.

For Ava, we had her party at school yesterday so she and I baked a ton for that. This afternoon we're getting together with good friends and having a play date where the kids will bake and decorate Valentine's.

Yeah, today should be pretty fun

Yeah, I pretty much suck, too.

I got dd a new pair of cowgirl boots off ebay that I gave her 2 days ago and called them her "early Valentine's gift".

DH has a mediation meeting w/ his former employer over a contract dispute and I didn't even wake him up when I left.

And I work until 8pm tonight.

Aww you're an awesome mom!

Our Valentine's Day will go like this: I wake up and get ready for work while DH sleeps. I said goodbye and went to work. I will work all day and DH will stay home doing schoolwork and chores. I will go home, eat dinner with DH (quickly-- we only have a 20 minute window), and then we will go to prenatal class. After prenatal class, I will go to bed and DH will stay up playing video games or watching Netflix.

Confused It is clearly romance city over here. I even forgot to say Happy Valentine's Day to DH before I left for work. We're not exchanging gifts because we're taking a trip next week.

I got DD and FI's DD each a book of Valentine's Day stickers. But I forgot to give it to DD this morning (FI's DD won't be here til tomorrow night)..

I know FI forgot Valentine's Day, and with the money stress we're facing now, and him stressing about custody, I didn't want to remind him and put any unnecessary pressure on him to HAVE to get me anything. Last night he asked if Valentine's Day was tomorrow and I said yes, and he seemed upset, so when he asked if I had gotten him anything, I said no so he wouldn't feel bad, even though I did, I got him a card, and a cheap chocolate heart, which I left for him with his coffee this morning.

Very cute, I like the heart curtain.

I woke up to flowers on the kitchen table. That was so sweet, he hasn't bought me flowers in ages. He's still sleeping, works nights.

Around noon we will make a seafood feast! Crab legs, shrimp, potatoes, and corn on the cob. I made an ice cream cake for dessert! It has cookie dough ice cream and layers of fudge, caramel, crushed double stuffed oreos with mint creme oreos on the outside and I'm going to make a big heart in valentine's m&m's on the top. Did I go overboard......maybe.

I made him a silly construction paper card with a crude and almost zombie looking family. Our future baby looks strange lol. And I made him an herbed dream pillow. It's kind of like a dream catcher. We might go on a walk but probably won't do much today. He has to go back to work tonight.

Awwww, I love the curtain of hearts.

We usually don't do anything too big on Valentines. We like to hit up this fancy deli/bakery place and we each pick out our dinner. They make prepared things like beef wellington, fancy fish, etc. You just have to bake them. So we went last night and picked out our dinner and dessert and we will just chill at home tonight.

I'll play. The Hubs and I decided that we weren't going to do anything because of new baby, decorating the Big Girl Room for E, and the fact that I had to quit two of my part-time jobs to go back to school. We just have better things to spend our money on. But I did get him a card and let the Big Girl pick out one for him as well. Well, he leaves before me so I had planned to put his cards out after he left since I wasn't going to be back home before class tonight. I was taking my morning tinkle and he came in the bathroom to shave and gave me a Sephora box with two new lip glosses and a shadow kit. I LOVE MAKEUP!!!! It was such a surprise and so thoughtful and so me. I'm really excited about it. Then he got Big Girl a new Minnie Mouse stuffed animal. She ADORES it!!!! He's done really well today. Oh yeah, and I sent Big Girl two candy grams at her school today.

Oh I guess I forgot to tell ya'll about DH... um, he left for work at 4:30 this morning, so when I got home at midnight last night from babysitting I left him a card taped to his steering wheel. He got up and left and nothing was said. He did text me before he punched in to say thanks and i love you... that's all.

And our big plans for tonight? We have an appt to file our taxes after we both get out of work, then dinner is frozen pizza.

So while I do look like a great mom, I am right along side of ya'll that say you're bad wives!! haha

We're not that into Valentine's day, but we're having lunch together. We used to have lunch almost everyday, but because of MH's busier work schedule we don't anymore. So today I'm going to get take out from our favorite lunch place and take it to his office. The restaurant is only open for lunch, so MH hasn't been in ages.

DH got me flowers and chocolates earlier this weekend, because he refuses to buy flower ON Valentines Day. I made him a little gift bag with some of his favorite snacks and hung it on the door for him to take to work.

We are celebrating tomorrow with a low key dinner at home. I'm going to make a nice meal, DH is going to pick up some dessert, and we'll actually eat at the table instead of in front of the TV like we usually do!

Tonight, I work. I'm a server at an upscale restaurant, and tonight will be BUSY. I'm actually a little nervous...I remember being exhausted after work last year, and I was in a very different physical condition. But I will make bank, so we can pay for all this baby stuff!

It's DH birthday today so I got him a bunch of different little gifts, some treats and a card. He got me roses, some candy and a beautifully written card. Even on his own birthday, he never ever forgets about me

We got DD a couple small toys, some treats and a card. She was probably so confused as to why she got presents on Daddy's birthday! But, she enjoyed it nevertheless (although I just hope she doesn't expect to get presents on everyone else's birthday!)

I don't ever give my husband anything for Valentine's Day except sex I've never had any complaints. He left a card with a really sweet note on it on the table this am.

My DD is ridiculously excited - they are having a small party at MDO this am, and we have a party at a friend's house at noon. She has been making Valentine's all week and we got her a small heart with m&ms in it, as well as a small hello kitty toy. We don't do toys other than birthdays and Christmas, so she was over the moon excited

DH surprised me with a flower delivery this morning. Beautiful red roses and red gerbers. DS is still pretty little but we sent him to daycare with Valentines. And I probably won't do much for DH as I'm on modified bedrest this week. I see my NP at 2:30 so we'll see what I can manage doing after that. ETA: misplaced word.

We were supposed to celebrate V day on Saturday because I don't feel like dealing with the crowded restaurants today, but DH informs me that he planned a boys night out because he has friends coming in from out of town - even though we already planned our date night a while back. There goes any loving he was going to get tonight or this weekend since I'm pretty pissed at him. I've been hinting on a pregnancy massage so he might be able to get himself out of the dog house if he books one for me.

Yesterday was one of those days for me when my brain was just not functioning like it should. Went grocery shopping BEFORE going to the bank to deposit DH's paycheck, no cash, no bank card. Thankfully I had our credit card with me but it was one of those duh moments. Texted DH my goof and when he got home he offered to make dinner. He ended up taking both girls to the store to pick up some ingredients for a special dinner so that I could have an uninterrupted shower. He came back with flowers, a chocolate bar and a card from the girls. Later he gave me another card with a super sweet message hand written in it, with instructions to have the girls ready with an over night bag by 3:00 this afternoon. Not sure what is happening at 3 but I can't wait!!!

I decided DS and I would make and decorate sugar cookies for DH.... well I tried to make them heart shaped and they didn't turn out so well. Oh well I'll blame it on the 2 year old! I also cut DS's sandwich in the shape of a heart but that's it.

Oh and I have been leaving DH hints around the house that I would like a Chocolate Covered Strawberry ice cream cake from ColdStone. I'm not letting him inside the house without it!

I got DH a card. He's a chef and they are running a special today that includes lobster tails so i asked him to bring a couple home for dinner. I reminded him to get a card and flowers (grocery store is fine) on his way home too

My DH and I don't celebrate Valentine's Day because we met, courted, and got engaged in a country where the holiday does not exist. (We did marry in the US.) It just seems weird to be sweet and loving on command.My birthday is in two weeks so I can make him do whatever I want then. Stick out tongue

However, I had a fun little moment this morning that made me smile. I was walking my dogs as usual and we were on a nearby college campus. Standing on one of the busy corners was a football player in jersey and dreadlocks passing out carnations to everyone walking by: "Yo, Rosie loves you, man! Happy Valentine's Day!" And yes, he gave me one too. It was just so sweet and cute.
