I hate housework on a regular day, let alone 8 days before my due date. I have already had to change my shirt twice, and wrecked one
! I was trying to pour bleach on a load of whites and missed... or didn't miss, really.
I hate that I can't reach the cupboard that my dishes go in because the belly is in the way. I hate that I can't clean the bathtub because the belly is in the way. I hate that I can't reach the floor because once I get down there, I can't get back up without help, and I wish that SOMEONE other than myself could see the clutter piling up around this place! I feel like I am the only person with eyeballs in this house!
The worst part is, no matter how much I get done before DH and DD get home from school, everything will be trashed again before bed. ![]()
Okay, enough feeling sorry for myself and ranting.

Re: Ug... I hate housework (vent)
In one of my newborn classes, the instructor made the best point and it has helped me so much: men and women think differently (duh) but men need specific instructions to know when and what we want them to do. For example, if you say, hey honey, can you clean up the downstairs? he will maybe pick up a few toys, look around, and think, looks good, done! And then the wife comes downstairs and sees the dishes still in the sink, the dust still on the furniture, the vacuum cleaner where she left it out for the husband (and not used), and the groceries that still need to be put away. And then neither understands why the other is so upset!
Maybe (nicely) ask if husband (and daughter, for that matter) would mind doing you a few favors, and then tell him what you would like him to do. Don't forget that positive reinforcement after he is done! ;-) Hang in there!
I'm with ya....2 weeks to go and I can't seem to accomplish anything...I'm exhausted from being up so much at night and I have zero motivation. I keep hearing about the nesting bug...where the heck is it?? My bag is packed, the car seat is sitting by the door...but it would be nice to come home to a reasonably clean home, maybe some meals in the freezer so that there's a chance we won't live off of take out and fast food for the first month....but I just don't see these things happening.
I can actually hear the couch calling my name right now.
