Mucus in belly button?

DD is a week and a half old. Her umbilical stump fell off last Thursday, at exactly one week. Since then, there have occasionally been what look like little pieces of dried stump sticking to her onesie. I wasn't really worried about that, but this morning I noticed a little yellow mucus in the bottom left side of her healing belly button. It doesn't look red or inflamed, and from what I could find on google it seems like this may be normal, but I was just wondering if anyone else had an experience with this!
PCOS with long, irregular cycles
First round of Clomid in May 2012= BFP #1, DD born January 2013 
BFP #2 in January 2014, DS born September 2014

    Mine did the same thing. I just wiped once daily with a wet wipe during a diaper change

    I think it's fine as you describe it. As you know, we mainy have to be be aware if purulent discharge and a foul smell occurs cuz not that long ago that was a central line straight to their blood stream. My ds still has his stump, just barely, and it's making little marks ib his clothes too.
