I do not know yet what I am having. I was suppose to find out last week but LO already has it's mother's stubborn streak. lol. Hopefully this week though!
Either way I want to use the name Carter. Finding a "boy" name to go with Carter is easy. It will either be Jackson Carter, Zachary Carter or Carter Neal.
But... Girl names...
What do you think about Eleanor Carter?
Or something to go with Carter-Lynn?
I like Abigail Carter but I do not want her to be called Abby and I know that would happen.
Re: Need an opinion! (or two. or three or...)
FWIW I've found it pretty easy to avoid the use of nn's. My DD is Eloise and I do not like the nn Ellie. Everyone calls her by her full name, nbd.
Is Carter a family name? I like Jackson Carter and Zachary Carter best.
For girls, I prefer Abigail Carter to Eleanor Carter but I agree some may call her Abby.
With Carter-Lynn, I like Sarah Carter-Lynn, April Carter-Lynn, and Rose Carter-Lynn.
For a boy, I like Carter Neal or Jackson Carter.
For a girl, if you would like to use Carter as a fn then I would suggest Mary Carter as a double fn. I don't like CarterLynn/CarterLynn; way too masculine. I do like Eleanor Carter.
I would keep Carter in the MN spot. I really don't like it as FN.
Jackson Carter and Eleanor Carter are my two favorites on your list. I also love the name Abigail Carter.

Amelia is such a lovely name! I would never use the NN Millie for it tho...

I really like Eleanor.
And I agree with PP that as long as you don't call/introduce your daughter as Abby, most people probably won't call her that either.
