Ugh, I am so mad. I went to Stride Rite because I thought my LO had outgrown the 3.5's and needed a 4. They quickly measured her foot and took it away before I could look, but whatever, I was pretty sure she needed a 4. Of course, they only have like two styles in her size, so we try them on. They look big but... I knew she needed a bigger size. LO tries them on, walks around a bit, enthralled with her new "Joos!" as she calls them. I have a coupon and it's still outrageously expensive but oh well...
A week later, we are wearing the 3.5's still because the new ones keep falling off. As I am throwing out the box, I look and it says 4.5. Ugh! It might be an honest mistake, but maybe not. Now I need to go get another pair of 4's!!! Maybe I can return them?
Also, where do you get your little girl's shoes?
Re: Shoe Problems
Sorry you had a bad time at the store. If the shoes don't look like they were worn on the playground, I would take them back and tell the clerk what happened. Odds are you aren't the first person this happened to.
For serious shoes, I go with Stride Rite. But if I want something fun, I'll go to Kohl's or Target. Keep in mind, you get what you pay for if you go too cheap.
Oh, and from my DD's experience (she's almost 6), don't rely on the Skechers brand for any long wearing shoe. The last 2 pair were worn out before 3 months, when most of her shoes last 6-9 months at this age and she usually outgrows a shoe before she wears it out.
