Did PG change your hair?

When I was PG with my DS, I developed a weird wave in part of my hair, the rest of which is completely straight. It drove me crazy and lasted long after my PG, so I ended up just cutting my hair short.

This time I swear it happened again, and I was only PG for a little over 2 weeks. But it is in the same spot as last time, and this one section of my hair is completely crazy and does whatever it wants to. I just got a hair cut and I was cursing my hairdresser thinking she really botched it, but now I am realizing this has nothing to do with her.

I think I just have to wait for it to grow out. I am just shocked that it happened right away.

Anyone else?

My hair became very curly at puberty. Some women get curly hair during or after pregnancy and some curlies lose their curl. Its all hormones!

That is strange but pregnancy can do alot to your hair. I'm surprised it would happen that quick though, who knows. Mine has been looking thicker and it stopped falling out like crazy like it did before. I also noticed a lot of short hairs on top in the beginning from all the new growth.

I am super excited that pregnancy might make my hair wavy or curly. Maybe I will even start growing a more robust hair color! Nothing yet, but I am only 10 weeks.

I washed my hair a lot and it did look good when it toned down. DH goes to another hair dresser at the same salon as me. He told my lady that he loved the color. It looked red and not pink in the salon but at home in my bathroom mirror and in my office with the overhead lights it looked pink. I guess it could have been worse. Once I got chemical burns from hair color at a salon.

nothing really changed with my first but after he was born it was falling out like crazy. Starting about 6 months ago i noticed little hairs all around the edge of my scalp like they were growing back! Now those hairs are about two inches long! So annoying because they tend to stand stright up. Now that Im pregnant again Im hoping they will grow and fill in with the rest of my hair...it looks ridiclous....not sure anyone else can really tell but I can.

I LOVE what pregnancy has done for my hair. It is thicker and more manageable. I rarely have a bad hair day where before it was frequent!

I'm a natural blond with stick straight fine hair. During pregnancy my hair gets thicker, much darker (ugh), but stays stick straight. Crazy

During my first preg my hair went to complete frizz due to curls. Even trying to straingten it was rediculous. It stayed that way and I always had to tie it back. Now with my 2nd preg, the frizz has changed to ringlettes. SOOOOOO much better and I used to have poker straight hair once upon a time. But now I can wear my hair down and it looks great!
