Bassinet- Color to match Masterbed room or Nursery?

I am getting ninna nanna bassinet and it comes in a dark brown or white wood frame. Our overall style is modern in both rooms. Our master bedroom furniture is a dark brown almost black, and the nursery furniture will be white.  Can't make up my mind which color to pick!  I think they both look nice in either room, but just can't pull the trigger on one of them.

Any thoughts?

Crib would be Ikea Sundvick, and Dresses is Ikea Malm in white.

  • I prefer the dark wood for sure.

  • I'd go dark. Personally, I think it is more attractive, but the bassinet will most likely spend time in your room rather than the nursery so dark makes more sense.

  • Love the white one!  My aesthetic is pretty modern though.

  • Those are beautiful.  I'd go with the dark brown to match the master bedroom---it's likely by the time baby is ready to move to a different room, he/she can sleep in the crib.

Just remember that many babies will not sleep in a bassinet, so you may end up with a swing or a Rock N Play in your bedroom instead.  Whatever works!
