Can I scream for a minute??
My good friend's best friend emailed me on Wed this week to say that she was planning a night out for my friend's birthday tonight and hoped I could make it. A little last minute but okay, I understand. So THANK GOODNESS I didn't plan to go b/c tonight at 6pm (she said they were meeting at 6:30pm) I get a txt from my friend saying 'oh btw we're not going anymore, sorry!'.
WTF!?!?!?!? What if I had got a sitter?? What if I was already on my way there?! AAHHHH I realize that I wasn't actually put out but I'm so pissed at just the though of it! People are so inconsiderate!
I hate to say it but people w/out kids just don't get it sometimes. I don't like to generalize but c'mon! GAH.
Re: VENT - kinda NBR but kinda BR...
I know what you mean! Going out for the one night takes LOTS of advanced preparations and plans and I would be mad if someone canceled at the last second like that....good thing you didn't actually make the plans lol
This is why we only do things where DS can come along hehe It's very rare that we are out past 7:30pm since that's when we start DS's bedtime routine.
I'd be annoyed too. The sitter could have had other plans and I'd feel obligated to pay them even if I sent them home. If I was the sitter I'd think twice of babysitting for them again.
Yea but if the sitter shows up, would you just send them home without paying them anything? I wouldn't be able to do that. I'd feel bad and still end up giving them something.
