Heyyyy ladies. Haven't been around much, because I just got back from driving 30 hours round trip this Fri, Sat, and Sun to attend my baby shower in Michigan. Did I mention that my mother and grandmother were a part of this journey. Yikes!

Wow I could not survive that kind of trip. How was your shower?

The shower was nice. It was snowing a lot in Michigan when we got there, so it made me nervous that we might have drove all the way and not been able to see any of my husband's family.
As far as surviving... I have no idea how I did. I drove the entire trip, and when we stopped at a hotel, they both snored sooooo loudly. It was miserable. When my mom woke up this morning, she knew I was planning to drive an hour and a half to pick up my crib (we got back yesterday and they stayed before driving back today) and she wanted to know if I wanted her to come. Uh, 30 hours in a car was plenty this weekend. I politely declined.
Speaking of cake, my birthday is next week and all I care about is getting a birthday cake. And chowing it down. Pathetic. lol
Isn't this what birthdays are all about?
true. I normally have major stomach issues and trouble particularly with wheat and sweets. Since pregnant I have an iron stomach (I love these hormones!!) so I am super amped to be able to eat cake this year. And DHs bday is in March! Holla!!! More cake!

Best moment ever! I am so glad that you got to feel this! I know it would be better if your DH was there to share, but outside kicks aren't going to go away and he'll get to feel them soon enough!
Awesome!!! I second what Petra said, plenty more to come for him to feel! MH didn't feel kicks for like 3 weeks after I did. Every time he'd try and feel LO would stop moving. It was comical. Hope he has those calming powers after the birth. Lol

You get dressed everyday?
Uh, yea. What is this you speak of?
Ok good. I thought you might be weird.
I don't feel nearly as bad about the froyo and girl scout cookies I just got done eating...
