I feel like we've completely exhausted all options of boy names, and we're just not 100% on board with any of them (or, at least, not 100% on board with the SAME name). I guess for this reason alone we need to hope it's a girl. :P
Please feel free to give your suggestions - I feel like I've already seen every name imaginable, but maybe there's one out there that I missed or didn't think about before.
DS is Zachary (mn David). We like classic names, preferably not OVER the top popular, but semi-popular is okay. We both like the same style of names, it's just the actual names we can't agree on. Some names I like that DH doesn't: Nicholas, Jonah, Samuel. Some names DH likes that I don't: Arthur, Edward, Douglas. (I don't think any of them are horrible but I'm not crazy about any of them and Arthur in particular sounds bad with our LN). We both like Simon, and actually that was our choice for DS going into the hospital, but it changed - and now I just don't know if that name "fits" in our family, if that makes sense. It's on the table, though. We like Elliot, but my name is Elly so I feel it's too close.
I would love for the name to be Greek (I'm 100% Greek) but it's not a requirement - just a bonus.
Re: We're never going to have a (boy) name
Well, I'm probably no help- I LOVE Simon. Other ideas:
Callum, Calvin, Bradley, Dean, Ryan, Scott, Spencer, Ethan

Um, you and I are having the same problem. I feel your pain!
Evelyn (3.24.10), Graham (5.30.13) & Miles (8.28.16)
Some other ideas:
Matthias, Thomas, Elias..
FWIW, I think Simon sounds weirder with your last name than Arthur (but you know I love both those names)
Does Horace have too soft of an "s" sound?
Philip is growing on me more and more, and I'm still pushing Owen (or Orson)
Warren
Kendrick
Hank (Henry)
Lane
Graham
Grant
EDIT: Hugh

I don't think Elliott is too much!
Boy names are hard!
When you say Greek-- do you mean like Achilles, Icarus, Apollo etc? Or do you mean names that seem to be popular with Greek- Americans?
I am not Greek, but a good friend growing up is and her brothers names are Nicholas, Gus and Christopher (though I am not 100% sure if Gus was a NN). I am mentioning these names because my friend belonged to a Greek Orthodox church and it seemed like these 3 boys names were popular among her peers.
Her dad's name is Dino-- again, not sure if this is/was a NN for something.

With Arthur, I think it sounds lispy, if that makes sense. Even when DH offered it, he flucked up the pronunciation (basically replacing the ss in the last name with a th), hah.
Yeah, not like mythological but with Greek roots or a Greek equivalent (which I realize not everyone would even know). Zachary, for example, is a name in Greek. It's also one of the reasons I'm partial to Nicholas. Dino is usually short for Kostadino/Constantine. I actually mentioned Dean/Dino but that got a big ol' no from H.
I actually love Alexander, but it's BIL's name so DH doesn't want to use it.
I LOVE Simon too, so I'll vote for that one.
Nicholas would be a good one too though...you could call him Nico.
I feel like I'm not really helping much. I like pp's suggestion of Hugh. Some others we considered: Calvin, Daniel, Charles, Miles....
