Hello! I've been lurking for a few weeks and have already learned so much from you ladies! I think I might wanna join in the fun!
H is 25 and I will be 25 in about 2 weeks. We've been married for about 4 months. This is my last cycle on BCP and I have only about a week left of active pills before I will be free! I know it can take +/- 90 days for one to become fertile after getting off the pill, but I want to start charting/temping and maybe OPKs right away during cycle 1 so I can learn about my body and get used to the process.
That's about all I can think of to share. I feel like I've learned so much from lurking that I don't have any questions right now, but I'm sure that'll change!

I thought I had read that was possible but pretty rare, and 90ish days was more typical? Maybe I got faulty information, now I can't find my source.
The 3 month thing is actually in regard to your cycle "regulating". You can get pregnant your first cycle if you are lucky. Welcome and good luck!

This is a really strange statement. Theoretically, I'm sure it could happen. But I wouldn't say that's the norm.

I think the 3 months is more standard for most people yes, but both my doctor & the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility says it can potentially take up to a year to resume ovulation, & thus become fertile - it really just depends on your body. I know because I'm one of the few people who is having this problem, we are in our 7th month TTC post BCP & I'm still not ovulating. It's just a possibility but hopefully you won't have to worry about that! GL!
