Hey ladies,
My LO eats oatmeal with fruit in the morning, then a bottle mid-morning, a bottle in the afternoon, veggies for dinner, and a bottle before bed. I know the recommended milk intake is 24-32 oz and although that's for formula I am exclusively pumping so I'm going by that guide. Well the past few days he's been wanting to eat lunch and not a bottle as he watches the little girl I watch eat lunch. I gave him a serving a fruit and then he wont drink a bottle. Anyways for the past two days he's only consumed about 16 oz. should I be concerned or is this common. He will be 7 months this coming week. Thank you!
Re: Consuming enough milk
Bottles are most important at this point. I live by "food before 1 is just for fun" motto. My LO is BF, he nurses every 3 hours or so, sometimes every 2. I feed him solids after he nurses.
Hop on over to the BF board, there is good info there. Since your pumping BM, you LO shoudnt be following a formula guide. My LO nurses at least 5-6 times a day. Good Luck to you!

Thanks ladies! I'm wondering if maybe it was due to teething because today he seems to be wanting his bottle again. He usually takes in about 20-26oz a day between three 6oz bottles, 4oz bottles with his cereal in the morning, and a 4oz bottle after his dinner. After his breakfast I've tried to give him his bottle and he has no interest and it doesn't matter how much he eats. I know everyone is going to have conflicting opinions and/or ideas of what LO's should be taking in at this point and he is mostly eating bottles besides breakfast and dinner which he does have formula mixed with his cereal in the morning and drinks a bottle after his veggies at dinner so I guess I will not worry too much. Thank you for all the responses though. It gives me a guideline of what others are doing with their LO's. The reason I ask here and not my pediatrician is because we are military and he HAS to be seen on post and there's not a relationship with the pediatrician. I'm not happy about bit but that's another post all in its self! Thank you again! Have a wonderful rest of your weekend.
