I'm bored and want your stories. As I go through this process I am reminded of a time or two as a late teenager when I took a pregnancy test the next morning after an *oops* decision, and was so relieved it was negative. HA! Oh blissful ignorance...anyone else...?

I definitely wasted a few dollar bills on tests back in the day. My favorite was rushing through the self-checkout lane while breaking out in a sweat, bc I thought someone would see me buying it. I also had this interesting move of believing my stomach "looked pregnant," when clearly it had been mere hours/days since my moment of indiscretion. I would stand to the side in the mirror and analyze what was basically a "food baby." Gosh, I was a hot mess.

I've actually never done that. I didn't lose my virginity til I was 18. Then the first pregnancy scare wasn't until I was like 20. And I was already (from what I knew about cycles then) late by a few days.

I took one and I was pregnant when I was about 22 (I'm 30 now). I decided to not go forward with that pregnancy as I was not in a healthy relationship, was finishing up my college degree, no way was emotionally or financially able to care for a baby at that time. I have zero regrets from that decision, but since TTC that decision haunts me and my biggest fear is that I won't be able to get pregnant now when I'm married, ready and want a baby so bad because of that decision I made years ago, even though I know medically it has no effects of my chances now, other than I am older now.

Yup, except you waited till the morning after! I took one about two hours after my first time cuz the condom broke. Oh silly me!

Right now, I'm thanking my health teachers, my mother, and anyone else who may have instilled in me a basic understanding of how my body works even at a young age. The first time I ever had a moment where I felt the need to take a HPT was when I was 28 years old and hadn't had my period in 3 months. I didn't think I was pregnant, but was desperate for a reason that it wasn't showing up. I didn't get it for another 6 months, but it turns out it was a result of weight-loss-induced amenorrhea.

(And spell check wants to change amenorrhea to gonorrhea. Awesome. No, I never had gonorrhea, spell check fairies!)

haha yes seriously virgins. We thought that since clothes were off and semen was expelled there was a chance...lol. Then my roomie decided "just the tip" wasn't "sex". I won't let her live this down to this day.

I have taken a few in my day ... all BFN. A roommate I had in my early 20's and I would have a 'period party' day. I don't know why we were always so relieved... until TTC I had NEVER had unprotected sex. A lot of sex, yes, but never unprotected

When we were 24 my BFF told me she thought she might be KU because her 'mouth tasted like baby' I thought it was the craziest thing I had every heard and even laughed at her. She had a period once every 4-5 months and had been told it would be hard for her to get KU (when she wanted to). I had a test in my bathroom, it was a digital and she pee'd on the wrong part....so it just kept flashing. We drove to the store and I bought the cheapest one I could find, When it came up positive in less than minute I told her she must have 'peed too much and it soak through too much'. We went back for a digital......BFP. It was long night.

Oh, ugh! Silly relatives. When DH & I got married, my aunt insisted it had to be because I was KU and our engagement was only5 months. She told this to EVERYONE. Well, I've been gestating this baby for 4 years, evidently. It can go ahead and come out any time now.

Haha when H and I first started dating we had a scare, and I went to buy the test with my then 15 yr old sister. As we were checking out, she looked at the clerk and blurts out "It's not for me!" Even though it wasn't for her, I doubt he believed it.

Holy sh*t this reminds me of a totally inappropriate comment from a Walgreen's cashier just 5 years ago or so. I was checking out with an HPT and as she scanned it, she says "well I hope you get the result you want". Soooooo uncomfortable. At that time I was NOT TTC, so it was mortifying.

Yeah, definitely guilty of that. H and I joke now about how much money we've spent on HPTs in the last 8 years because I was sure I was pregnant even though I was on depo.

We were only engaged for four months. Everyone thought that I was pregnant, too. Haha. Well, it has been three years now.

Oh yeah! First time I had sex with my now DH. I was 16 and the next day was like SH*T I must be preggers. Went and got a test and two weeks later, with my brother as the "lookout," I went in and POthatS. Negative. I'm wondering if we had actually gotten pregnant then, if we would have gotten married 12 years later... hmmmm...

Cashier- "How are you?"

Me- "Good, thank you"

I think there should be a rule that cashiers aren't allowed to comment on anything related to TTC. Or condoms. Or tampons, for that matter. Really, they should just keep their mouths shut on all counts.

As for stupid teenager stuff, I've still to this day never peed on a stick (unless you count the OPKs I've recently become addicted to). I was never even a few days late, and we were always super careful. However, I do remember a panicked conversation with my college roommate where we were trying to figure out the probability of getting pregnant if we were ejaculated on in the shower. I remember her saying "but if we're both naked, and he gets semen on my stomach, won't the water wash it down towards there??"

...clearly we weren't educated very thoroughly about our bodies. I blame my Catholic high school health class. Basically, look at a boy = KTFU.

I was always petrified I was going to get KU when I was in my early twenties. I remember talking with my girlfriends about how we felt so "fertile" (WTF does that mean? haha). I didn't know then that I have PCOS and probably wasn't ovulating anyway. Derp.

when i was 17 the condom broke with my now DH and we drove to the Rite Aid by our mall and 20 yr old cashier guy said, "do you want a bag for that?" i was mortified. YES PLEASE!

then i POAS in the food court bathroom. place was filthy and it was BFN.
