Sent home with PTL and PIH instructions from L&D!

So I woke up yesterday morning with more foot swelling than I had gone to bed with and a little bit of funky vision...so I called the MD on call to check in and see if I was just being a worrywart. They had me come in, did some labs, checked my BP (which was 140/90's), dipped my urine for protein (which came back as trace) and did a NST...which the baby was fine but I was having contractions every 2-3 minutes without even being aware of it (scary!). They did the fFN swab which came back negative and my cervix is closed and high still. They sent me home (no work today) with the 24 hour pee jug and said to come back today when it was finished for a follow up BP check and another NST. Please send good vibes my way that things are better today and that I don't have to stop working this early. I know that healthy baby/momma are paramount but I would love if I had my whole maternity leave to spend with the LO. TIA! P.S. I've been drinking fluids like it's my job...no more contractions please and diurese that darn fluid!!

I'm glad baby is okay and I hope all your tests come back normal as well! If it makes you feel better I was having high BP readings (148/88) so I was sent home with the 24hr urine jug. It turned out there was no protein in my urine, but since BP was still high I see the doctor once a week now! He didn't put me on bedrest or anything, he actually did the opposite, told me to make sure I was getting a little exercise everyday! I hope the same happens for you and you don't have to stop working! GL keep us updated!
