Our power is out. It came back for a while, so I thought the problem was fixed. Looked like a downed line, trucks were at the end of the street working on it. I put in a load of laundry and started our slow cooker roast, then went to nap. Woke up to cranky Lily, major nausea and no power again. DH won't be home till after 6. This is gonna be a long afternoon.
BTW, how long do you think the roast can last before I just have to toss it?

Re: Ugh
I guess it depends on lots of variables:
- What kind of meat is it? Beef is more resistant to spoilage than chicken or pork
- How long did it cook before the power went out the first time?
- How long was your nap, how long could it possibly be sitting without cooking?
- How did you find it? Was it still really hot, warm, cool ?
Roast will develop bacteria on their surface before the inside...I guess I would take a chance especially if has been out 2 hours or less, but because you are pregnant I think It would be better to pitch it.BFP #1: July 12, 2010 Natural M/C: July 26, 2010
