Currently I am using Disana wool nursing pads doubled with a pair of merino wool nursing pads. I continue to soak my shirts and was hoping y'all could recommend which nursing pads you like/use, esp. If you're a heavy leaker.
I leak like crazy and use the Johnson and Johnson ones. I did trial and error with DS so I knew what to get this time. I change them only once a day and they are all squishy like a wet diaper.
I was a heavy leaker and would use the disposable ones during the day and reusable ones at night and just rotate through as I got up to feed LO in MOTN. They just aren't as absorbant and I worried about thrush since they didn't wick moisture away. HTH.
I used the NUK reusable pads and they weren't good enough, during the day or at night. I switched to disposable and the difference is amazing. I tried a few brands and like the Lanisoah disposable ones. They don't need to be changed more than once a day for me usually. With the NUK pads I have to change them every few hours, and sometimes they leak through to my clothes even if I double them up.
If you have really heavy leaking and find a good reusable brand let me know!
I've never leaked through the Charlie Banana reuseables. They have the same PUL they use in their diapers They work great and are comfortable but they do tend to show a bit through tight clothing because they didn't make them concave.
