I'm not CDing right now but I hope to be able to start up again in a few months. I CD'd DS for 17 months. He was short and fat, so I remember he had quite the booty with his CDs.
Girl pants seem so much more tight than boy pants. How the heck could I fit a CD in there with her pants? Do you have to wear a size bigger or am I overthinking this or what?
Re: CD Girl question
She just wears neutral boy pants so far for this reason.
Kellers' LO had these on today with a CD and they looked great! She could tell you more about what size and how big her LO is.
some colors are on sale!
This. Or I go up a size on pants, but Baby Legs are definately the easiest. She finally seems to be growing into her dipes so it doesn't look like her fluffy butt is quite as big.
And also--some onesies are too short with the extra crotch bulk.
I just size up. Sometimes things are a little bit loose in some spots to accommodate the diaper fitting, but it's not a huge deal.
Steph: We don't have to pay for laundry, but it is outside of our duplex (in the building, not in our living space), down two flights of stairs, in the cold icky basement. I won't let DS go down there, and now I have two. Getting regular laundry done is a hassle in itself, but all the ups and downs for CD? It just didn't work. Luckily the only thing I bought for DD was 20 prefolds (so I didn't even have enough yet to commit to CDing in her size...I'd borrowed all of DS's small sized stuff).
Anyway, as one way or the other we'll be moving in the next few months, I'm hoping to be able to get back to it. We even have a nice big container full of CD detergent I made during the brief period we were trying.
DD is already in 6mo clothing. She is long and decently chunky. 9mo pants would be way too long for her, but I can't imagine shoving CDs in her 6mo pants. I guess we'll see what happens.
At least I have a lot of DS's pants in the next few sizes.
Thanks for the info everyone!
To follow up... C is 19 awkward pounds, mostly in her legs and belly. Not sure about length... but she is firmly in 6 to 9 clothes. Pants have been tricky. But these are fantastic because they're actually 6 to 12!
