Sorry, off in la la land and didn't see the post below!! I found the CC40 pics, I actually caught the one with the overhang the other day. Crap, good in theory, not so good installed. So, it would work well in a super big car with super short passengers. Urg.
Two sort of related notes. I need to bang my head on the wall. E just hit a growth spurt, she now is above the top harness slot on her Frontier. I want to cry. She is still awful in the car. I told her if she couldn't sit properly in her seat, I'd duct tape her in. Tomorrow I take the harness out. I want to cry.
And my brother is a tool. He bought his ds a lbb. He may be turning 6, but he's barely 40lbs (I actually don't think he is, K is 43-45 and most def heavier), and a solid 4t top, he's tiny. And he ff his dd - she may be coming 3 soon, but she's not 22lbs yet, she has CP, cord is still tethered, poor head control and toricollis. She had the option to rf in our spare Radian, which she fits, but grrrrrrr. Usually excuses. Can I cry now?
Re: **SuperCuteBenz**
Ummmm, YES! I would totally cry too! I am blessed that my DD is tiny, and pretty much fits in any seat. She is only 33 lbs, so technically she could still fit rear-facing in a Classic Marathon. My DS is 32lbs at 2.5, and has a 14" torso. Completely different kids.
All of your kids tend to be tall, yes?
I am so bummed about the CC40. I guess I will be sticking to me SR30, if ever have hypothetical baby #3. I love the concept of the seat, but seriously, I don't know how it would fit in a car with anyone over 5' tall.
You are lucky! Yes, they do run tall, and with our lack of seat selection, I'm hooped. 5 years ago and before was worse. Your dd is tiny! E is in size 8 shirt (and the odd 10 if it runs small), she's 49lbs, and stick thin. K is not much shorter, I'm thinking she has less than a year in the harness. (their est. potential height range around 5'8" for E to closer to 6' for the other girls, I'm only 5'9")
I'm trying to find pics of comparison of them to average sized kids, they don't hold still long enough to photograph.
That sucks about the CC40, thinking about it now, I'm not sure if it will work for anyone in my family, short of one sil, but she's done with kids. She's only 5'1" and drives an Escalade. And anyone else I know that's potentially having babies in the next few years are all driving small cars. Bummer.
So hypothetical #3 still needs an ideal seat, maybe they'll come out with more new seats?
Hypothetical baby #3 is.......... well very hypothetical. DH is on board one minute and on the fence the next. lol
You know you have car seat issues when you have 2 infant seats NIB, and another one on the way, but have no baby in sight. I can blame it on research, right?
Thankfully, 2 of them were free, so I don't have to feel too bad about it.
Sounds like my dh! It took him a while to get off the fence. And now were done, even though I want a bigger vehicle, I'm done! Car seat issues. I think I've driven dh up the wall. I counted how many seats we have had, and it's insane. And I was looking again yesterday. My collection includes 2 Frontiers, 2 Radians, a Graco lbb (maybe make that two, I think my mom has one), an AOE and Evenflo Generations the sitter is using (I need to replace those).
So I'm quietly and casually looking for new seats for the sitter, and a hbb for back up in dh's car. And maybe a seat for S, but I'm not sure how thrilled dh would be if I bought another Radian - if S is as tall as K at 3, rf is done soon.
