Formula weaning Q

We are weaning from formula starting this weekend, woohoo! DS is on soy formula, we are transitioning to soy milk. Pedi suggested since DS's stomach is already finicky to do a 1/2 formula 1/2 soy milk mixture in his bottle. So far today he's doing great. Only thing is I did not ask pedi how long to keep this up, anyone doing anything similar? Any suggestions?

    We did a formula and milk mixture until we ran out of formula which was probably about a week.

    We did it for about a week too and then just tried straight milk to see what would happen. He ended up loving it! Now he is only getting 2 bottles of formula a day and the rest is milk in a sippy cup.

    I'm working on switching too. I'm doing 4oz of formula and 2oz of milk right now. We had some issues, so I had gone back to straight formula, but he's back on the mix. Because your LO has tummy issues...I'd do the 50 50 mix for a week, then do maybe 25 75 for a week. I'd he's doing ok, I'd do 10 90 for another week. And if he's still ok then just go straight milk. If you're going to run out of formula before it could be done this long, I don't know that I'd necessarily go buy any if he's doing ok. I'd also say, if you have a lot of formula, use it until it is gone. That stuff costs too much for me to just throw it out, lol. Good luck!
