AF has just kicked in....yowzers. Best IVF cycle = worst AF. Its ok though, nothing a few Ibuprofen can't fix I had my first 2nd opinion the other day, it was with SIRM in St. Louis. I was VERY pleased with what she had to say....especially since she didn't think I had an egg quality issue. Woohoo!!! I've also decided to give myself little projects to keep me occupied the next 6-12 months. Weight loss is one of them....I'm shooting for 24 lbs by July. We'll see

Had FET #1 on Wednesday and it went a lot better than our fresh transfer. I was a lot more relaxed, felt a lot better, the people were nicer/more gentle and DH and I chatted pretty much right through the procedure, so that was nice. I have had some small, short cramps that I definitely did not have last time, but who knows, it could be the PIO. So I'm mostly trying not to think about it. Mostly. The other part of the time I'm googling things like "1dp5dt" which obviously helps nothing :op

QOTD: DH & I met at work...he was my boss's boss. Scandalous! He was traveling about 80% of the time at that point though, so it took about a year to really get into an actual relationship

I am on day 7 of stims and had my monitoring appointment this morning. I have 5 good measurable follicles (up from 3 at Wednesday's monitoring appointment). I go back Monday morning - still hoping for a Tuesday 1/29 retrieval!

QOTD: DH and I met at work (he hired me). We started flirting after about 8 months, got more serious over the next few months and we were living together about a year after I started. Needless to say he is no longer my boss but we do still work together.

I got the call on Wednesday that my 11 embies are still going strong (I haven't heard anything since then) and I'm scheduled for a 5dt tomorrow, yay!! I've been waiting forever to say I'm PUPO!

QOTD: DH and I were neighbors growing up, we lived across the street from each other. We didn't start dating until the summer after I graduated high school and we thought it was going to be a summer fling since I was going to college in Boston and he was going to college in IL, but we fell in love and had a long distance relationship for 4 years (I do NOT recommend that) and dated for a few more after college graduation before getting married! Phew - bored with my story yet? Wink

QOTD: I started a new project at work right after graduating from college. My boss wanted me to have someone who had done it before to help me an gave me DHs number to call and introduce myself. He came in and it was love at first sight : He couldn't do the project due to a schedule conflict but started "randomly" popping into my office after that.

Hi all!!

GL hugs to those who need them! Tuesday's fert report was disappointing, since only 2 eggs fertilized. Wednesday the Dr. called said we should do a day 3 transfer. So, our 2 embryos were transferred yesterday morning, a 7A an 8A. FX into the 2ww.

QOTW: DH I met through mutual friends after a night out. They were actually trying to hook up, but they didn't. We did instead! :

Had my FET #1 yesterday and it went perfect! Pretty much had the same story as firefly relaxed and the people were so much nicer than last time time. My goal for the 2ww is to not worry and to stay positive!

Good morning Everyone! Well, the emotional roller coaster of IF continues... Since I overstimmed, and my body started producing progesterone too early, I was told I would most likely have to freeze my embryos, since my lining could have started breaking down. I just went in for a lining check and sure enough, my lining went down from an 11 to a 9.5. I'll wait to hear what the dr. says, but I know I am not going through with a transfer unless my lining is perfect. I am feeling so frustrated and defeated. I can't stop thinking of the "if only" I had triggered the night before, when my E2 level, lining and follicles were all perfect. Ugh!!! I am going to have a good cry and then try to move forward and start thinking positively, if that's possible. I know it's all out of my control. So, I guess it is back to injections and monitoring appointments for me.

On a good note...I had 9 mature eggs, and they all fertilized and were doing well as of yesterday. I am anxiously awaiting today's report!

QOTD: My husband's best friend at work, his "work wife", is married to my high school boyfriend. I have gotten to know her over the years, and she set us up. Our first date was over 4 hours, and I knew I definitely wanted to see him again. Especially since I would usually bolt after 1 or 2 drinks on a set-up. It is fun hearing all of your stories about how you met your DH's. Good question of the day!

Good luck to everyone who needs it this week! I am smack in the middle of the 2ww. I am incredibly bloated but I know that is from my hCG booster. Beta is 1/31. Just keeping my FX.

QOTD: DH and I met in college, we were friends for a long time and then hooked up on a school trip. It was somewhat scandalous because we were both dating other people at the time and it was a small school. I had never cheated on anyone before and won't ever again! Everyone thought we were a flash in the pan but 12 years later we are still going strong.

You can add me to the 2ww list. I had my transfer yesterday and thankfully everything went smoother than last transfer. It was very quick this time and they had no issues placing the catheter in, last time took almost an hour. So.... I am trying to stay relaxed and think positive.

Hello my lovely ladies!!!! My 3rd and final beta came back today at 2080. Woohoo!!!! U/s is scheduled for February 4th.
QOTD: DH and I met at a bar on St. Patty's day. He was bouncing and told me I was drunk. I in turn told him I was not drunk and pointed out one of my girlfriends who was in the corner making out with one of his friends and told him she was drunk. He laugh at me and we continued to chat for the rest of the night. We didn't start dating until about 6 months later.

Started PIO today, stopped Lupron and decreased estrogen.

QOTD DH and I met when we were 14 and were friends all of our school life. When we were 24 we met up by accident at a bar and chatted the whole night and then we stayed in touch online for a couple weeks. He invited me on a road trip to visit his college buds and we've been together ever since!! 8 years on Tuesday.

Hello ladies! Congratulations to all the BFPs and hugs for those that need them. My final monitoring aappointment was today and I trigger tonight and the ER will be Sunday! My RE was concerned about my blood pressure being really high (for me) and my estrogen being higher than last time. I was told that there was a possibility that they may have to freeze all and do a FET later. Since my estrogen came back at 3,159, she thinks we will be able to do the ET next Friday. That is if we have normal embryos after the testing.

So, I'm 9dp3dt and it's not looking good. The hcg booster is still lingering in my body and the only thing I see is an ever fading line. It's so faint, that it would only be visible to a woman through IF-glasses and she would still have doubts. It was there yesterday and the day before and it is becoming fainter each day. My beta would have been sunday but they're closed, hence, beta on monday. A FRER would have definitely shown something by now. When I google "9dp3dt bfn then bfp" all I see are posts from women that did indeed get a bfn later and posts from women telling them it's too early and they know somebody who knows somebody that still got a bfp... I'm sad and I have started to deal with the fact that IVF#2 is coming.

I was at a congress today out of town and presented my research results. The presentation went well but the congress hall was butt freezing cold and on the way back the train I took was packed full because of a defect wagon and I had to stand for 1,5 hours...

I'm sorry to bring everybody down with my pity party, but I really would like to be somebody else right now.

QOTD: DH and I lived in the same dorm when we were both exchange students and met at one of those house parties. We only started dating after we both moved to work in the country where we had met. We sort of ran into each other on the street anf went for coffee for good old times sake... Thinking of this just made me very teary but also made my heart smile. Thank you ladies

I had my ER yesterday...I'm over the dizziness and nausea but still very bloated and painful. I'd rather be painful than nauseous though. I'm not sure if I will get the fert report today or tomorrow, in the meantime hanging out in bed and hoping that I will be well enough to go to work tomorrow. If I continue to look like I'm a few months pregnant though I don't know what I'll do, I can't walk around holding onto my tummy all day!

Dh and I actually met on an online dating site. We clicked right away with humor and sarcasm, we e-mailed back and forth for a few weeks until I decided to ask him out. I think we were surprised on date #1 how fun it was to hang out. We've been together for 4 years in February and even though we have had our ups and downs, it is the best relationship that I have ever been in.

Hi Polar ladies!!!

Well as many of you know yesterday, appt went in a different direction than I anticipated, but I didn't even have to make a decision, it was made for me. My progestirine went up to like a 4, so no transfer for me.

Good news is trigger worked, and I will a lot more eggs than they thought as of right now 15 are mature and ready. That is highest I ever had, so hopefully we will have lots of embies to freeze, and I will never EVER have to cycle again, even to get siblings. FX and everything else. They will have me do a fet in FEb. Yep, yet another badge to add lol.

I met husband through my roomate, on 4th of july. I can honestly say when I met him I saw fireworks because we went to my mom's house to watch them all together, I was friendly. We have been together ever since. (14 years later)

Still waiting for the lab. I tested at 7:30 am but my RE has not received the report yet. If I don't hear by the end of office hours I am going to POAS and hope that it works.

Q I met my husband while on a date w another guy. My date introduced me by the wrong name and got worse from there. I stayed friends w my DH for 3 years while I dated wrong guys and he worked on his career. Finally I decided I wanted to be treated well and we gave it a serious go. Everything got better as we went. (except for this trip into IF which I hope is over soon)

Beta 1 is 188 BFP

Next beta is Monday. Not ready to celebrate yet but certainly more hopeful.

I got my betas moved up. #1 today at 6dp5dt was 72. Next one is on Sunday. First ultrasound is scheduled for 2/15. FX that everything progresses well.

DH and I met online actually Big Smile I tried online dating for like 2 weeks and we hit it off immediately.

Update: Had ET yesterday! Transferred 2 embryos; both were graded 4BF, which they said was very good. I'm now in my first IVF 2WW and planning to test out the trigger and POAS before scheduled beta.

QOTW: We worked at Wal-mart when we were in college and co-workers introduced us.
