What does LO call you?

Griff has always called me "mama" and all of a sudden today he's been calling me "mom" and I don't like it lol. I would think he'd start calling me "mom" when he's older but not now. When I think "mama" I also think "baby" ykwim? I just want to freeze time!

He either calls me "ma" or "mom".

And whenever we are talking/practicing letters and he sees the letter M, he says, "M - mom!". It's pretty cute.

Funny you should mention this because in the last two days G has started calling me mom, too. Ugh! I don't know where he got it. I always refer to myself as mama.

He calls me mama. There was a short time we stayed with my mother and he started calling me mom... Because he heard me calling my mother that. I quickly fixed it!!

Carter calls me Mom and DH Dad. He started calling us that a while ago. It doesn't really bother me though. As long as he calls me some form of Mom, I'm ok with it lol!

J calls me "Mamma" (Mama), but I hear the DC-mom call me "Mor" (Mom). It bothers me that he has to hear two names of me. It is hard enough with him learning to languages, and then have to learn two names for me as well..

Evan has always called me mama but recently switched to mommy. Not sure where he got it from either, but I do t really mind either. He switches between the two depending on his mood.

Mommy- it was Mama, but DS1 calls me Mommy so he started too! Rare occasion they both call me MOM- usually when I'm annoying DS1- "Oh, MOM!!!!" Stick out tongue

Usually we're Mama and Daddy but occasionally I'm Mommy or Mom. He frequently calls DH by his first name (which we certainly discourage by emphasizing that C should call him "Daddy") but I'm certain he has no idea what my first name even is!

We are mama and dada. Occasionally we will get called by our full names - first and last lol. My mom taught them to her, which is kind of annoying, but good in case of an emergency because you can ask her what mama and dada's names are and she will tell you.

Haha, oh yeah, when A is calling us he will sometimes call "Jill!" "Chris!" because when we are calling each other from other parts of the house that's what we say. It's really funny to hear. So we ask "Who is Jill?" And he says "Jill is Mommy!"

I am mama, mommy or ma and H is dada or da depending on her mood. She uses ma and da when she's yelling for us. It always reminds me of Will Ferrell in Wedding Crashers. "Ma! More meatloaf!"

Mommy. I don't think he even knows my name (and I don't think he could say it if he did - it's a tough name for kids). He has called me hun and bay-buh (that's kind of how H says baby to me for a pet name). It was weird.

First it was mama, then he had a brief stint of "mom", somewhere around 20 months old. Then he went back to "mama". But around 22 months, he changed to mommy & daddy & that's what we've been ever since - with the exception of the occasional calling us by our first names, lol.

It's funny you posted this b/c just yesterday, I was watching a video DS from when we brought DD home from the hospital & he said "mama" in it & it was so weird to hear!

But lately she's been trying to call me Megan because the daycare teachers call me by my first name. I'm having none of it though and I refuse to answer her, but she gets up in my face and will say it 5 million times. "MEGAN MEGAN MEGAN MEGAN MEGAN."

Thats really a good idea that she knows both your full names. I don't think Griffs ever heard anyone call me by my first name! lol

I am "mommy" or when she's feeling specific, "Evie's mommy." DH is "daddy" or "Evie's daddy." She picked up the "Evie's" at DC. It cracks me up.

I'm mama, and DH daddy, but he calls daddy by his first name sometimes, after he's heard me call across the house, and thinks it's HILARIOUS.

I asked him what daddy's full name was at breakfast this morning & he said "bugman." (DH is an entomologist). I asked him what my full name was and he said "mama."
