So my friend informed me that her 7 month old STTN and not only that but she sleeps so much throughout the day.......she said her LO is only awake about a hour to an hour and a half throughout the day then hes back down for another nap!!! My LO has NEVER slept that much! I'm lucky if I can get him to nap for an hour and a half TOTAL throughout the day....and he still wakes up 1-2 times a night.....UGH

So how many hours does he sleep total? Are you saying he's up for an hour and a half, down for a nap, up for an hour and a half, down for another nap, and so on? How long is he napping for? DD was like this, but she would only nap for 20 minutes at a time--it was exhausting.

Yep. Apperently hes up for an hour to an hour and a half then down for a nap that lasts for an hour or longer!

My LO doesn't nap well at all for us (but she naps better at daycare). She on the other hand does STTN. I would be concerned if my LO was sleeping a lot through the day.

This is what I was thinking. A child who sleeps through the night, assuming that's at least 9 hours, then an hour off and on through the day? Most babies need around 14 hours total for the day.

At 7 months, my LO was still on the - awake for 2 hours, down for 1 - schedule until the evening, when he would sleep 3 hours, eat, repeat. That sounds like an awful lot of sleeping for your friend's LO! When does she get to play and learn? Wow.

I was thinking the same thing about playing and learning.....hes not rolling over or doing much yet.....I feel like that is too much sleeping!
