Quick question: How many crib sheets should we have on hand?
All of our showers have come and gone and we received 2 crib sheets, so I am trying to buy all of the last few things, and was wondering if we should have more than two on hand? Same with changing pad covers, we have two of those as well.
Re: Crib Sheets??
Oooh the receiving blanket for the changing pad is a great idea, thanks!! I also have 4 crib sheets, as well as 4 bassinet sheets. FTM here so it's good to hear I may be on the right track :-)
I can't remember how many crib sheets we have...maybe 4? And I think we have 2 changing pad covers and a couple of bassinet covers. We did buy a couple of flannel pads to put down so that if they get messy we can just change those. I have one on the changing pad right now.
I'm not sure if for the crib and bassinet if we should place it directly underneath the baby as I'm not sure if that's completely safe...

For this LO I got his bedding on Craigslist and it came with 2 sheets again. I did buy a 3rd because the ones that came with the set were white and I wanted a colored one.
One tip I got was to have 2 crib sheets and 2 mattress pads on the crib all the time (layer them so its waterproof mattress pad, crib sheet, waterproof mattress pad, crib sheet). This way, if the baby spits up, throws up, poops, etc. and soils a crib sheet in the middle of the night, you just peel off the top crib sheet and mattress pad and there is a clean crib sheet and mattress pad underneath, ready to go.
I have 3 crib sheets, 2 on the mattress right now and a 3rd clean one in a drawer.
